Default New speeding laws

You have been warned!!

Speeding fines are changing in the UK today, which could see motorists having to fork out more cash if they are caught exceeding the stated speed limit.

Under the new rules, drivers can be charged up to 175 per cent of their weekly wage for a major offence or up to 50 per cent for a minor breach of the speed limit.

There is a cap of £1,000 on minor speeding offences or up to £2,500 for major ones.

A three band system will determine the severity of an offence and corresponds to different charges.

I see this on the news - sounds good the fact that footballers etc on allot of money will have to pay a hell of allot more in comparison to people on low wages but this kind of money is still nothing to them as they have so much so the only thing I see working is raising more money for the government.

do they need more or d they need to start practicing what they preach about waste ? I would look like to put forward a alternative to the government but as Jeremy is not that - its pointless.

( don't the law makers just drive you up the wall )

I suppose its all relative but what are they going to do about the unemployed or people who can just choose not to work? Will we get these fines and still get points on our licence?

The answer is don't speed or don't get caught.

What if you dont earn nothing, and have a rich man fund your lavish lifestyle?

can you just drive at whatever speed limit you want?
