What a terrible story this is,that poor child, but ,something does not seem right here ,surely the person or people who stole this car would have known she was in it, and also ended up in the river aswell

It is a dreadful story that poor baby. It's also very odd. How did the car end up in the water and what kind of monster would leave her in it?

What might be worse is that it's now been discovered that the car wasn't stolen - the mother 'accidentally' left the hand brake off and the car rolled in.

did she immediately go on social media to say the car had been stolen, rather than calling for help

I've been out all morning, what is the update on this? I just heard there was a blue building that was their business and the car was left there, not at the home,so I wonder why if this is an accident, why was the child left in the car ?

She "nipped" for long enough that this car rolled out of sight so she could assume it was stolen. |

Just been reading about it on Facebook and it seems iffy ,apparently BOTH parents got out of the car and left the little girl alone ( why did both parents leave her?) and by looks of it the Dad was on Facebook posting smilies straight afterwards ? Very odd ,this is just one of the many comments left on the article
What a strange dad to be immediately on social media using words like 'mega' and using smiley emojis. It feels like he's having his 5 minutes of fame. It seems to be a tragic accident that they may bear the guilt for...leaving her unattended and the car being faulty perhaps...but what a bizarre way to react to your child's death. |

No I read it wrong, there was only the mother who left her to go into the Dads works to get some money ,but does anyone else find it strange that the police are not looking for suspects in the death ? IF the car was stolen, surely they would be looking for the thieves? Iffy as .... |

If the police thought for one second the car had been stolen they would be looking for the thieves |

A window must have been open or the car would have bobbed about with air trapped in it, with a window open it would have sunk
the small child died a horrific death Last edited by LeatherTrumpet; 20-03-2018 at 03:47 PM. |

I thought it had now been decided that this was a tragic, avoidable accident. I thought the mum had nipped out leaving the baby in the car and not put the handbrake on? I thought the theft story was unsubstantiated.
Poor baby

Ive seen it tweeted and on Facebook, but can't find the full comment its supposed to be on Wales online, but it wont open for me .... He also was supposed to have put smilies and emojis on too HOURS after his baby's death

Looking at the scene, it does look like an accident.
Mother may have forgot to put the handbrake on. The little girl could have unclipped her seat and been playing, whatever happened, it is an awful tragedy. My thoughts go out to the family. |
