Lol, thanks<3
I try ^__^;;
I'll make a banner to put at the top later.

Yay Christina fans :]
Apparently her new album is gonna be short, sweet, and have a futuristic sound to it after she checked out a Kanye West show [who's interested in doing a collaboration with her]

I think it'd be good but I don't really like Kanye's music [although I hate P. Diddy and I love "Tell Me" lol]

I just fell in love with the 2003 VMA performance again with Britney doing 'Like a Virgin', I love it up untill the whore Madonna comes out and basically rapes their faces.

LOL
christina should totally cover it, her voice sounds so good in that performance.

&I notice most people preferred Stripped/CA as opposed to BTB. I think Back To Basics was a clever move by Christina as it's the music she likes, something new and it still got to number #1 in many countries. It just wasn't as mainstream friendly as her older stuff [hence why after ANOM, she released music off the second disc]

i hope she goes to back to something like Stripped.BTB sold 4 million copies comapred to 12 million for Stripped.that proves most people preferd her Stripped era.

It may not have been as successful but that doesn't mean it was a bad album. It just wasn't mainstream-friendly enough. Some of the songs on there are mindblowing. [Hurt, Mercy On Me, Save Me From Myself, Still Dirrty]

Either way, she's going for a futuristic sound, which should be interesting. I doubt they will, but I really hope they don't mess with her voice.

Christina Aguilera is like my idol, I love her.
I prefer BTB because it felt like she had control over everything on the album and I love the sounds on the 2nd CD.
I'm reallt desperate to hear some new tracks from Christina and cant wait for a new album.

I'll just quote the other thread:

"I'm a MASSIVE fan since I was like 9! I have threehuge posters all three albums plus her Spanish, Christmas and demo album, two live DVDs, saw her in concert (BTB tour), bought all singles that don't appear on album (Tilt you Head Back, Car Wash, Tell Me, ect.), two books and two hour long recorded interviews! BOOM!"

Also forgot to say I had a calendar too. I think I still have it somewhere. She is THE best artist of our time and is way more talented than Britney!

DJ Premier, who worked with her on BTB (He produced Ain't No Other Man), said "She's doing an all pop album again, but she wants me to keep the tone like what we did before."

So Sounds like a mix of BTB and Christina Aguilera

PS

I call being the official vice president of this thread, lol!

As much as I love Stripped, I'd prefer if she abandoned that era to keep it special. Also I think when she was was talking about "modern" and "futuristic", she was referring to the whole look rather than sound of the album. And the stage sets too. I can't wait cos I LOVED the look Kanye did with his Graduation album!

I have the Mi Reflo/Christmas (sp?!) and Stripped DVDs. Didn't know the BTB one is out yet. I'll have to check it out.

I got "Genie Gets Her Wish" "My Reflection" and "Stripped Live UK" but BTB came out in February =|

Yeah, she said that the look is inspired by Andy Warhol and Pop Art and wants to portray that. I don't like Kanye West personally, or his music, but I think the sets and stage designs will work. Christina would MAKE it work haha.

Nice thread intro

I love Christina Aguilera! Her voice is incredible and I love how she re-invents herself and her music each time. My favourite era is probably the Stripped era, but my favourite album is Back To Basics. I've never seen her live but I would if she came to Cardiff, I have the Back To Basics (Live & Down Under) tour DVD though. I'm looking forward to her next album, I read somewhere that it's partly inspired by pop-art so it should be interesting.

It's taken me a few days.
I was either gonna put "Official thread" or some lyrics on it but it looked crowded and messy.

Loves it Darenn!

One thing tho - I've yet to see my Vice Presidential role made official, lol!

God just listened to Just To Be Free again, as much as I love her, that is NOT a good album, lol. But hey, it wasn't every supposed to be released - now I realise why!

Love Christina Aguliera. Stripped is my favourite album as I can listen to nearly all the songs on it. I've never really listened to BTB but my WMP was on shuffle and 'Hurt' came on and then 'Welcome' and they're incredible! Definitely going to listen to that more. Can't wait for her new album.
