New season of Survivor begins in ten days time and this season it returns to Africa for the first time since Season 3, this time the castaways will have to survive the elements of Gabon...Earth's Last Eden.
Trailers: TV Guide Preview: It looks like a promising season, hope old viewers and new viewers will be watching and we can discuss all the action in this thread. I'll post links to where you can watch the episodes LIVE, starting with the two hour premiere on the 25th. Should be fun. |

It's gonna be so good. I don't think it will beat Micronesia but still.

It probably won't beat Micronesia in terms of twists and turns but hopefully it will be better in terms of characters. Because for me none of the Fans apart from Eric and Natalie had any personality at all, it was all about the Faves really and I was gutted when Yau Man and Eliza went as those were my faves.

Anyway I felt bad for Amanda, she lost twice in the finale but I was supporting Parvati. |

I wasn't a big fan of Amanda or Parvati. Amanda tried to play the innocent, doe eyed little girl too much when she was at tribal council and most people saw through it. Parvati played a better game than she did the first time around but I still didn't find her that likable and that says something because I like the bitchy, catty characters, I loved Courtney in China, but for some reason I just never got along with Parvati. There were also other 'faves' I wouldn't have chosen to be on Micronesia, when you look at some of the other potential players and those that turned it down it could have been even better than it was. Apparently Shane, Colleen and Courtney were all considered...I know that Courtney declined. |

It will be tough following Micronesia. It was such a great season that it'll take a lot to top it.
But the season looks promising so far. I absolutely love the location. Gabon looks beautiful. And I've been waiting for them to go back to Africa, and they finally have after 14 seasons. I don't have too many pre-show favorites, but I do like Sugar. She looks like she will bring a lot of entertainment to the show. |

Hmm it weren't an amazing start but it was pretty good, I enjoyed it.
They made a stupid decision voting out Michelle over Gillian and Susie etc, 17 seasons on and they are making such stupid choices, I don't get it. Yeah I'm all for giving the oldies and less physical ones a chance, but come on, the majority of challenges are physical. Though I was glad Gillian was voted out next, it was the best decision. My favorites are Randy and Ken, and I quite like Marcus too. I think Michelle had the potential to be another Courtney, so I was disapointed she went so early, there aren't really any stand out girls this season. Kelly and Jacqui are too similar, Crystal seems to be another Sherea, Susie who? Though I like Pamola (sp), she made me laugh a fair bit, I just hope she manages to last as she's not in the 'onion alliance' and she could be seen as weak, she did sit out of the challenge ... hopefully not though. I'm looking forward to it though, it didn't blow me away but it looks promising! |

I agree with Legend, it was a nice start, not spectacular as I thought it would be.
My only issue with this launch is that they already gave them so much comfort: fire, food (the extra bean bag, not the rice one) and some fishing tools...and what about the little houses ! Come on producers ! Is it Survivor or Big Brother in the Jungle ? I do miss the adventure and hard side of the show. Except from that, I still agree with you Legend, what stupid choices ! Gillian was kinda annoying but she provided some fun so far. My faves are Sugar (she's fun, bubbly, funny and cute) and Markus (seems to think a lot about what is going on around) |

Fang could be the new Ulong the way things are going. I don't like the 'school yard pickem' because the tribes always end up unbalanced.
So far I'm liking, Ace, Randy, Ken, Paloma and Dan (seems a genuine guy but a little dumb), these guys seem to have some personality and could be fun to watch. The others so far blend in to one another, Marcus's alliance seems very dull, which means they'll probably make it far in the game! |

Great episode last night. Glad that Fang are winning now, it would have become boring if they carried on losing.
Loving Sugar and Ace. |

I like Sugar...a lot. But I found the strange the fact that while she on Exile Island, she was dressed with 2 dresses. I guess editing mistake.
Anyway, the episode was better than the first one but it still doesn't shout 'Wow' to me. Nothing much interesting happened, we have all seen that kind of situations before. And what happened the comfort reward ? Pillows ? I mean come on, stop giving them everything in the first 7 days. |

She found the Idol in 20 minutes apparently.
I don't think she was told, it was just REALLY easy to find. Which makes Dan an even bigger idiot for not even finding the first clue! Apparently the Idol is used unlike ever before this season. So hopefully they'll be something exciting with that. |
