Only thing that annoys me, which is slight, is that Johnny's character seems a lot like Willy Wonka... hope he doesn't play it too close!

It is a sequel to the first Alice story. So they probably made it so he is the lead.

Thanks Dezzy, I fell asleep without saying thank you, sorry :P

It looks good. I'm a bit disappointed that the Mad Hatter seems to be a main character, because:-

a) I loved the original movie version.
b) It means thousands of teenage girls/gays will be going "omg johnny depp iz da best actor everrrr!!!" again, and the males will try to imitate his style.
and c) I really didn't like him much as Willy Wonka, so his "I'm weird" roles aren't something I particularly like.

The Mad Hatter's role expansion was to be expected, they wouldn't have paid Johnny Depp to be in it for 5 minutes. What you have to remember is that is that it's a sequel to the book not the film. I quite like the Mad Hatter from the bit we've seen, I'd say it's more Joker-ish then Willy Wonka. I'm surprised we didn't see more of Anne Hathaway in the trailer because she's becoming quite an in demand actress these days.
