Both say they can predict your life, palmistry by reading your life line, astrology by reading the planets or whatever

Do you believe in it or think there is anything in it?

A bit, sometimes my horoscopes are true\half true

Astrology yes, as whenever I've followed what the horoscope tells me, I've always been successful or felt great at the end of it.

Never had my palm read, but would like to. Would also like to have a Tarot reading.

No. But I think it is all very interesting. I like to read my weekly horoscope but I don't believe any of it.

They are very clever in their wording - they do it so that it makes it sound like it has some kind of relevance to our life.

I sort of believe in palmistry but I think astrology is a load of rubbish, thats all cold reading. Then again the same could be said for palmistry

With regards to astrology, I am 100% in agreement with this thesis (http://www.badastronomy.com/bad/misc/astrology.html) that astrology is total bunk.

As for palmistry, look at your palm stretched flat and then start to curl it. The skin of your palm will fold at the lines on you palm. That is all they are there for.

When you go to a so called fortune teller, how do you know they are not carrying out what we call in the trade, cold reading? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cold_reading)

I definatly don't believe in astrology
I can never make my mind up on palmistry, i'd sway more into not believing in both

Horoscopes most probably carry some relevance to most of the population. Certain papers carry the same ones.

The method to reading the stars is probably the same so will come up with the same results, its just whether something cold read like "you will meet a man with 2 eyes" means anything to you and whether you interpret it to.

I have seen EXACTLY the same horoscopes in "ahem" certain papers.

If its exactly the same then its probably more to do with ownership of the newspapers

I've had my palm read and it was scarey accurate. She told me I was going to work in medicine, when at the time I wanted to work in media. Also that I wanted to move and all other stuff I can't remember.

I believe in astrology as well,a huge lot of it applies if you look into it. One of my best friends adores astrology and she's usually right about someone judging on it.

now I wouldn't say it was BS but I find it hard to understand how your hand can show what in store for you  it never changes?

It is all total nonsense. There is simply no reason to believe any of it.
