Yes, you have to take them continuously in order for them to work. So Karly doesn't need them. She clearly hadn't taken them for several days so starting now wouldn't help (unless she had been on her period for those days). But even so, it is the EASIEST prescription to get. She could go to any clinic and walk out with pills.

I think the whole thing is a lie.
