when 1 housemate talks about nominations they are punished by being put up for eviction but are still allowed to nominate along with the rest of the housemates.
So why is it that this week that when a group of them talked about noms the noms they made were cancelled?
shouldn't their noms still count but go up for eviction?? :flower:

Yeah, I found the whole thing a little bit of a puzzler too. Big Brother could have literally done anything they wanted there, such was the confusion involving nominations, the task etc.

Ok - here's what happened. Hira (and the newies) were set a task that they must convince the regular HMs to nominate Freddie and Norin (names picked from the box by Hira) and if Norin and Freddie were not the most nominated the newies would find themselves up for eviction. Lisa and Charlie had the most nominations from the regular HMs, therefore the newies failed in their mission and were put up for eviction as BB said they would. They (newies) were joined by the six regular HMs becasue of talking about nominations - hence the eleven who were up for eviction. So even if the six regular HMs had not discussed nominations the newies would still be up.

i'm not on about the newbies...according to my calculations - the newbies should be up, the ones who discussed noms should be up & Lisa should be up because she was nominated. All other times HM'S have discussed Noms they've gone up for eviction but still been allowed to nominate.... so why is it that for some mystery reason this weeks noms against Lisa dont count??

You are making this so difficult for yourself. The newies failed to get the regulars to nominate Freddie and Norin. Instead they nominated Lisa and Charlie so Lisa and Charlie were not going to be put up for eviction even though they got the most nominations. Charlie was up because he discussed nominations and Lisa didn't. If the regulars had nominated Marcus and Norin or Freddie and Rodrigo or whoever else (apart from Freddie and Norin, the two picked out of the box by Hira) they would have also being saved from eviction.

Quite - it isn't difficult at all.
The scenario was to be
The original housemates picked from the box by Hira (if the Newbie secret task was passed)
OR
The Newbies (if the Newbie secret task was failed)
The Newbie secret task was failed so the 5 n00bs were up for eviction and the nominations made by the HMs counted for nothing.
THEN 6 HMs were punished for talking noms. (though I think a different punishment would have been far more sensible)
THEN Kenneth did a bunk so the whole fooking farce fell down anyway.

Thank you Oooo_get_her. I felt exhausted trying to explain the complications (although it was not that complicated) of the nominations this week. Glad to see somebody else understands what I was trying to say. You are a good observer.

They still did an eviction after saffia walked

Yeah - but if polls here and elsewhere are anything to go by Ken was out by a landslide. So it would have been the second most voted for being evicted.
When Saffia walked she wasn't up for eviction - Freddie and Sophia were, So Saffia taking her ball and going home had zero effect on the eviction or voting that had already occurred.
