Well, it's a bout time.


ITV has confirmed that Kate Thornton is to co-present Loose Women when the chatshow returns in September.

The presenter, who will replace Jackie Brambles after she decided to quit the programme in May, will host the daytime show alongside Andrea McLean.

Thornton said: "I am honoured, thrilled and delighted to be joining one of the best teams on TV. I can't wait to get started as the show heads into its tenth year."

ITV Studios Controller of Daytime and Lifestyle Fiona Keenaghan added: "A great big warm welcome to Kate. I'm thrilled to bits that she is joining the Loose lineup and I know she is going to fit in brilliantly."

Loose Women will celebrate its tenth anniversary later this year.

How come Kate isn't on it yet? I thought she would be because shes one of the new presenters, new series and all that

I never usually watch it, they all get on my bloody nerves.

But seen as I'd watched the new look This Morning, I thought I'd check out Loose Women. WTF? The studio looks like some seedy strip club, Kate is WAY too good for this show.

How old is she now? 45 or something? I don't watch Loose Women, so thankfully, I'll miss her.
