I'll tell me ma when I get home,
The boys won't leave Norin alone.
They pulled her hair and stole her comb.
But that's alright till she gets home.

She is handsome, she is pretty,
She is the girl from Dublin city,
She is a courtin' one, two, three,
Please won't you tell me who is she?

Marcus Mooney says he loves her,
All the boys are fightin' for her,
Knock at the door and ring at the bell,
saying "oh my true love are you well?"

Out she comes as white as snow,
Rings on her fingers, bells on her toes,
Ould Johnny Morrissey says she'll die
If she doesn't get the fella with the roving eye.

When she gets a lad of her own,
She won't tell her ma when she gets home,
Let them all come as they will,
For it's Marcus Mooney she loves still.

I thought the third line of the second verse to be pretty apt. "Shes a courtin' one, two, three."

Thanks dennis. It sums up the situation in the house I think. It is not the beautiful Norins that lads keep falling for her. She is a true beauty Irish Rose.

I meant to say that it is not the beautiful Norins fault that lads keep falling for her.
