Why does Marcus feel he can tell Noirin exactly how she feels and how she works

It annoys me SO SO much when people who have known me for ages do this in the real world. The guy has known Noirin for 6 weeks and he thinks he knows her like the back of his hand. Saying she's so predictable, she feels this way, she's going to do that etc. He's only known her during big brother! She tells him she doesn't feel a certain way and he just keeps going on and on saying she does as though he knows her better than herself.

It does make you wonder what his relationships (if he's had any) have been like. Its all very sad - but doesn't excuse his behaviour. He's besotted with Noirin and the only way he can cope is to try to contol her.
