Why Does Marcus Hate Tom?

Why does he hate him?

As soon as he came in he didnt like her?

And every chance he gets he changed the conversation to him bitching about Tom, or somthing to make himself look better...

Why has he got such a need to be better to be noticed more??

Any one think he has a problem?

Or is it him feeling threatened by Tom ?

Problem is that he has turned everyone against Tom, and since hes done nothing wrong its a bit unfair..

Marcus hates Tom because the first night Tom came in he used a few of the sayings Marcus used and made it obvious that he had been watching him, so Marcus rightly in my opinion took it to mean game on man!

Yeah, Marcus does hate himself. In a way Tom is who Marcus would like to be. That can be a pretty crappy thing to face, especially when there's no way he can get away from him and he's already been knocked back a million times by the love of his life. :rolleyes:

I think Marcus needs to listen to Tom. Tom is really being pretty blunt just now while he's in jail, telling Marcus that if you're knocked back you just need to take it, and I think Marcus needs to hear it.

I never heard Tom say any of this.

But either way, is that a justified reason for saying he will hit him etc..

Making sure noirin and sophie dont go near him,
and pretty much making sure hes up for noms.

Tom has a much better chance of getting in with Noirin so as soon as he stepped through the door, Marcus was trying to turn her against him. Didn't work though, she still wants him.

Of course he can't but theres inlove and there is hating someone like massively.
And trying to do everything to change peoples opinions of that one person.

And they edited it massively.

Marcus was the one bringin up noirin n that and having a go, and they cut in half way through the conversation..

Marcus is an aspiring alpha - Fat, ugly, hairy, weird, desperate, unattractive ... but uses aggression, strength and knowledge to try and twist people round to the idea of him dominating the group and being the alpha male.

Tom is a laid-back/assured/automatic alpha - Muscular, Lean, good looking, young, attractive ... he assumes and automatically gets alpha male status and has dominance in the group. He is effortless, assured and higher in status.

Tom is above Marcus in the natural social order and therefore Marcus is jealous of Tom, worried about losing his status and feels threatened by him. Marcus is basically a slave to social dynamics.

Also: Noirin - "I'd fcuk Tom everyday" ... LOL. Bad news for Marcus ehhh.
