I think David is glad Tom is away.
Around 3.00 am he was clearly angry at Tom's spiteful and nasty comments about the show and the current residents.
David revealed that he cried when he was told that he was in. I liked that revelation from him.
Tom was an ahole. He knew what the house was like in advance but then cries about it when he gets there.
