I apologize in advance to all of the Noirin lovers, but I think she is just a big lying piece of sh*te!

1. She tells Marcus that he is her best friend etc etc yet tells the others that she was only friends with him because there was no one else and that she didn't really like him.

2. She tells several people in the house that she doesn't want to be with Siavash because she fancies Tom, but only tells Siavash that she doesn't want to be with him in the house... and making a comment about having their entire lives to pursue something.

3. She comes clean to Marcus... sort of... about Siavash but doesn't mention the situation with Tom.

4. She obviously takes great enjoyment of toying with the emotions of the men in the house. She says she doesn't, but the big grin on her face says otherwise. The absolutely turns my stomach.

I still hate Lisa more, but the gap between them is getting smaller and smaller.

spot on!!!

bet he doesn't like a taste of his own medicine!!

what is it with these people that seem to see Marcus as some sort of defenceless child who is not responsible for his own behaviour.

most are probably guys for obvious reasons - as for girls - bet it would be different it some creep did it to them.

Marcus is now officially middle-aged (35) - he may not be the brightest of chaps - but still is responsible for his behaviour.

people - stop making excuses for him - its pathetic.

oh come on! he wasn't a genuine friend - he was just trying to get into her knickers!

he manipulated her and intimidated her into believing he was her only real friend - so he could control her and get what he wanted!

of course he had an agenda - a very obvious one - some girls just think too much about romance.

Yes, he was just using "Cherryade" as a code word...what he really meant was "Claret"all over the diary room chair.
He'll kill 'em all!

not necessarily! It is about anyone who believes Marcus had genuine romantic feelings for Noirin. Even if you believe that his only motive was friendship - what sort friend constantly bitches about you behind your back - as Marcus was constantly doing to her.

it was all about control - isolating her from the rest!

Ok, you don't lke him, fair enough. But you call him a "vile pig" twice in a short post and set out a prejudgemental position without objective consideration.
Marcus did and still does love (or whatever can count as love for being in a cramped house for 7 weeks+) Noirin and, like all of us would, finds it difficult to deal with a) her rejection of him & b) her getting together with Siavash - i.e the 2 people he was closest to, who both knew how he felt about her. That would be hard to deal with for anyone.

Noirin kew exactly whaqt she was doing when she drew him in (deliberately) to help her with the Sree situation - that was also significantly of her own making. I'm not here defending Marcus for no reason, I fully accept that he is a seriously flawed individual, but I do believe he has been honest in his feelings and actions. He may talk a load of sh*t and be excruciating in his behaviour with Noirin, but he hasn't been calculating in his actions, he hasn't used a number of people in the house & toyed with their emotions for his own satifaction and he hasn't been obsessed with how the public are perceiving him at every opportunity - Noirin has, and that's why so many people can't stand her.

He has been calculating - very much so. He tried to turn other housemates against Noirin by bitching about her - and he tried to convince her that other housemates were not genuine towards her, that she could only trust him - he was attempting to isolate her therefore making her more dependent on his friendship - all with the intention of making her vulnerable to his advances.

That's about as calculating as you can get

As for the comments that Marcus is not obsessed with what the public think - what utter rubbish.

Everyone who has watched Big Brother before knows that the public like a housemate that stands up to Big Brother and is seen to be standing up for other housemates - that always goes down well with the public. He knew exactly what to do to make himself popular outside.

But in the end - his ego got the better of him - and when Noirin expressed her true feeling towards him - he started to loose the plot.

Oh come on, he stood up to Big Brother because they were unjustifiably insinuating that he was making racially insensitive comments. If that was being levelled against me on national tv, I'm damn sure I'd stand up to BB too. He also felt he was being unfairly treated to Sree in the aftremath of their (Sree created) arguement. Did his reaction really look to you like the actions of a man who had calculated what he was going to do beforehand? He relationship with BB since all stems from the incident.

I agree that he was right to stand up to BB's obvious double standards as far as the Sree incident was concerned - but he saw an opportunity - and milked it. Since then he has seized several opportunities to gain popularity with the public by stunts such as the climbing over the walls.

Personally - not impressed!

You called it right.
I would even add to that list:
5. She tells Marcus that she was kissing Siavash while he was in jail. She makes a point to tell him (and I recall more than once) that this 'romance' had been going on for 2 or 3 weeks. She goes back to this idea of 'she was surprised and it just happened',
but,
she made sure Marcus knew that for weeks (incl when he supposed they were getting serious) but for weeks she was thinking of Siavash.

BTW.. as usual she cannot quite hide that smile on her face when she does this. You can see her face muscles pulling hard to that self-satisfying feeling she gets off it.

It is amazing to me that anyone is left trying to defend this girls behavior.
I am still banned from DS for calling her a prostitute but, as they say.. if the shoe fits.
She is something much worse though - at least a prostitute makes no pretenses and gives some sex action.

Ugh.. that woman is just disgusting.

I'm pretty sure that was just him being egotistical rather than manipulative. He just likes to big himself up to others. He's said it to a few housemates, not just to Noirin.

I don't pay too much attention to the trends on this forum. We all know that some people like to sh*t stir and will do whatever they think will cause the most upset. Also, we know those people like to make several accounts.

I'm not saying that people can't or shouldn't still like Noirin. I'm just saying that some people on this forum don't always say what they really think. They just say what they think will cause a fuss. There are some people here who usually talk sense (even though it isn't always an opinion I share). I pay more attention to them than the forum overall.

lol I just took a long time to say something simple.
