I remember a couple of years back when Victor was evicted she said "For Shizzle My Nizzle" and anyone with any knowledge of Hip Hop slang knows that means "For Sure My *****". That was far more racist then this.

Really pisses me off. That word is FAR too over used and it need's to stop in all honesty. People really need to get educated on that word because it is starting to get beyond a joke now and is ruining people's career's because of it.

Congratulations Channel 4. You've now officially become the biggest hypocrite on British television. And why? Because according to you, making racist comments about Scots is acceptable, but towards other ethnicities is not.

In case you missed it, last night's Big Brother's Little Brother saw Davina McCall doing a skit about Karly Ashworth, the Fifer currently in this year's show. During which McCall called her a 'Jock', called her accent "incomprehensible", and suggested she needed to learn English.

Now cast your mind back a week. Marcus is hauled into the diary room and given a warning over his aggressive conduct towards Sree. During this, he's reminded about Big Brother's rules on using others' cultural differences - including their accents - in arguments.

300 people complain to Ofcom that he was racist, and the watchdog says it is reviewing those complaints.

Channel 4, of course, is desperately, desperately sensitive to charges of racism post Shilpagate. Marcus called them out about this before during his warning, pointing out that mockery of Karly, Noirin, Charlie and Freddie's respective accents is apparently tolerated by the producers.

Obviously, that now extends further. We've already had the producers subtitling Karly on the show because of her strong Fife accent - something which the rest of the house seem to have little problem understanding. And that, while unfortunate, is just about acceptable.

But actually to make it a point of humour, and nasty humour at that...? Unacceptable.

A quick trawl through the message boards, the fan sites and even the mailbox here at DailyRecord.co.uk reveals just how many people are upset by it. Ofcom, handily, shuts at the weekend, but it'll be interesting to see just how many complaints they get.

So, Davina, here's my question to you. Are you a racist? Really, deep down, do you consider yourself racist? I'm guessing not. And probably rightly so. So why is mocking Karly any different to mocking Sree or Noirin?

Racism isn't just about colour, its about nationality too.

Most people don't know what racism is, and what davina said isn't, but if its good enough for Jade Goody etc, then Davina should be sacked, along with Channel4 doing the BB programme, 2 birds and one stone.

Davina saying to Karly - you need to learn English

is different from

Davina or Marcus saying to Sree - You need to learn English.

Not by the intention but by the POSSIBILITY of a racist Intent.

That is why it is treated differently.

I am the last to call Marcus a Racist for what he said about Sree, but the reason BB warned him was because Racial tention Between English and Pakistani is so much more likely than between English and Scot and the effect of it so much harsher on the potential Pakistani victim.

Perhaps, since Sree isn't a native. But how Karly speaks is officially recognised in the UK, so need to learn anything.

She says "ken", "nae" and all the rest not because it is incorrect English but because it is correct Scots. It is Scots. She is Scottish and that's part of her.

Anyone implying the need to 'learn' is really saying the person has difficulties, backwards and such. This is not the case. It's also subjugating into another identity.

That said I had seen the part in question, did not find it offensive and the blog seems to make more of it than it was.
