Why does the BORING one always win?

If you listen to this debate on the Wright stuff, i thought the lady caller made a very good point and i have been wondering about this for ages. Can anyone explain?

But that doesn't really make sense. Why keep a big charcter in and then let the 'boring' one win? You are kind of mugging yourself off really when you do that. I'v not like the last 2 winners of BB at all.

I have some long winded boring answer about them drawing no attention to themselves, therefore creating a false negative, but i guess it's easier just to say cause they're tossers. :spin:

Well again i don't really buy that to be honest.

Let's be honest, the show is 3 months+ long. To watch it for 3 months and not miss an episode, you surely want some one to win who has made an impact. Like Marcus for example, possibly Rex in the last series for some.

I just don't know what BB is anymore, is it an entertainment show or is it something else? It just seems if you aren't entertaining, you have a damn good chance of winning which is bizarre on a show which is supposed to be about entertainment.

This pretty much goes a long way in explaining it.

There is too big an emphasis on negativity in the current format. The "get them out" mentality encourages viewers to character assassinate find fault with every contestant without valuing their contributions. The result in BB9 was the voters supporting the very personification of flawlessly bland inoffensiveness.
