I am going to sprout some psychobabble.
Marcus is just a piece of nasty work, hes obviously hes fully insecure but hes stubbon as hell, its either his way or the highway. He likes to be in control and uses his physical strength to intimidate people and get them under his control. He suffers from a persecution complex.
Hopefully in that thick brain of his, there might be a thought as to how sree felt when the same happened. There was no pity for sree so why should there be any pity for him?
Also do you remember how he used to pick on sree about the tasks, well he just lost one yesterday and his justification, the context was right,, what bs..this guy needs a reality check and quick, hes got psychopathic tendencies, i.e. i am right and everyone else is wrong.

Agree and its not even psychobabble but a fact he is in a state of arrested development at age 17. He is not to be pitied and I was very disappointed by how much sympathy he got from everyone over that disaster in the DR.
What a stupid little immature prat who later tries to find a way to blame everyone but himself. Which is a hallmark of criminals btw.
However, I want to disagree with you on something and it really amazes me how often I've heard this:
Marcus does NOT intimidate anyone with his physical strength.
As Tom rightly said "Dont be silly".
Marcus is a doughboy who dresses like something a 17 year old from 1987 would imagine is a really tough looking kind of appearance.
Charlie would throw Marcus around the room if he wanted.
I am just about certain Sree could beat up Marcus.
But I totally agree with you that nobody gave Sree any sympathy and many were jeering that Sree deserved it and even some just presumed it was Marcus right to be the boss and Sree ought to have listened,
but,
Now Marcus gets to be Sree and is getting sympathy?
Everyone saying how he is really a nice guy and has heart?
No.. he is a selfish little man who has temper tantrums all about himself and his petty little ego.
I DONT fault anyone for having a lot of insecurity problems, low self esteem, emotional problems. That is not a crime,
but,
When you sell-out other people, demand as your right others play along and feed your defense mechanism and turn it out onto others - then that is when a person is wrong and Marcus is now in the wrong.
BB did a superb job in showing up his hypocrisy last night.
A weak character, a hypocrite, a fraud and a chubby 17 year old who demands everyone else pretend he is a super hero.
Sree was 10 times the man Marcus is.

Marcus' strong man act is to mask his inner insecurities and childishness.
He is supposed to be that tough yet is often seeking comfort and assurance by begging cuddles initially from Noirin, and just lately from Bea.
He's poor at socialising;a bit of an outsider. He seems to live in a world of his own, surrounded by his thousands of action men toys, and he wishes to be a toy maker.
He's a big kid trying to be a big man.

Brilliant response, thats how i feel also,, and people are saying in this forum that noirin is in the wrong. How? She made it clear 1 million times, that she was not attracted to him.
And now hes behaving as if shes betrayed him.. The problem with some viewers of big brother is that they want to pity or sympathise with someone cause their lives are messed up. They dont want to see the real picture and thats why their lives are messed up.

Some how this child - Marcus - has imagined that he and Noirin had an unspoken agreement
This imagined agreement was that she would retain herself solely for him and at some point relent and give in to his physical requests.
His inability to understand her rejection of any romantic development has resulted in the child perceiving some kind of betrayal in her and Siavash's actions
An intensive year of therapy and drugs will bring him through this adolescent phase into some sort of adulthood

I'm actually in a state of shock that anyone could stick up for that vile, slimey, delusional egomaniac that we have come to know as Marcus. Lets look at what's happened briefly:
* Marcus decides he fancies Noirin
* He proceeds to relentlessly try to chat her up, follows her everywhere, begs her for hugs, and endlessly flatters her in an attempt to get into her pants
* Time after time Noirin explains to him that she see's him as a friend only, does not look at him in that way, and is not interested in pursuing a romantic relationship with him inside or outside the house
* Time after time Marcus chooses to ignore Noirin and continues in her pursuit
* Noirin kiss's another person - Marcus goes nuts
The above may be a simplistic summary of what happened but it is correct. I think what says allot of about the character of Marcus is the manner in which he handled the rejection
The way he handled it was the way a 12 year old boy would, blame the girl. Blame the other guy, hell blame anyone but yourself.
The fact of the matter is a girl he fancied who was single, kissed another guy. Where is the this gross betrayal of friendship and completely immoral act we keep hearing about.
In fact its none of his business who Noirin kisses.
And the net effect of all the above is that we have a 35 year old man, throwing tantrums and sulking like a 12 year old on national tv. The word patethic dosent even do him justice
This guy is completely dogmatic and delusional. Anyone who goes around calling himeslf the irrepressable dark horse on national television is a few cans short of a six pack.
He is also a hypocrite, going around telling everyone to give 110% on tasks yet when he's in a bad mood and loses the group 4 tokens for (one again) agressive behaviour, thats ok, because its big brother in the wrong
And then yesterday you see him asking Bea for hugs, a clear sign he has learnt absolutely nothing from the last week or so. Run Bea while you still can
He's a patethic excuse for a man. Vote him out

Extremely well said all of above!!
Could out-talk and out-post any of Marcus lovers because what you say makes sense and is based on intelligent observations which are in turn based on fact.
I dare say - to some Marcus fans at least - much of what you say would sail completely over their heads - you might as well be talking in a foreign language.
Again - well said!!

Marcus is a pathetic man who masks his insecurities with his big man attitude. He's the first housemate who deserves to be called David Brent :pat:
The funniest thing was when tom came in, he was really intimidated by his size and muscles, you could see the fear in his eyes. Hes a loser cause hes the kind who would pick on you if he thought he could do it. A bully in simple ways.
You've hit the nail on the head there. He was instantly threatened by Tom and feared for his alpha-male status in the house.
How did he react? He said to anyone who would listen that he didnt trust Tom and he was the biggest game player in the house. He instantly lashed out against him as he threatened his own status and he feared Noirin may fancy him
Interestingly when Tom told him what he thought of his behaviour around Noirin, ie. his crush was "boring" and it was bordering on creepy they way he hung around her there was no agressive reaction from Marcus or swearing
Do you think he would have been that restrained if it was someone he perceived as weaker then him???
These are the actions of a coward:devil:

Who cares...the Mullet headed control freak is quackers!
It's better TV than watching the ridiculous puppy dog Sea of hash chasing after( I have to be the cente of attention) Boirin.
Seeing them canoodling like some 14 year olds makes me wanna throw up!!
Then there is the chuckle broithers, Mr split personality Rodrigo & gossip biatch Charlie.(know one can be that dumb )
Other's like I don't need a life jacket Sophie...i'd sooner watch paint dry as she has the personality of a potato!
Bea thinks she is working for the U N but is really carrying round a big wooden spoon.
Hira is playing hide & seek( more hiding than seeking).
Lisa & David are well...a dead loss.
Freddie is the only one that i'd vote for as the rest are a waste of time...

Exactly, he is a disturbed individual. I pity the poor woman whos going to end up being married to him.
Imagine him going on and on about how he is right and you are wrong.
The problem is i am not too sure if he should be voted out cause there his behavior may get worse, but the guy is a loser simple.

It would make you fear for what he's like in real life if he acts like that with a camera on him
As he's too thick to be embarassed I guess I'll be embarassed for him
Imagine your sister or daughter bringing him home !
