Isaac was weighing Sea of ash up as a potential threat, he doesnt care about sea of ash's feelings or indeed anyones feelings, he doesnt really care about Noirin, its simply another game show to him and he will use any method to win it.

He had a go at the drippy hippy when he thought she may have an effect on noirin and him initially but when she mentioned she and Noirin were good friends he instantly changed tact and tried befriending her.
