I am not racist, but yes of course she is black - Noirin that is. Her mother is from Kenya, possibly from the Masai tribe, and is incredibly black. Her Dad met her Mum when he was a missionary in Kenya apparently, if the papers are to be believed. I remember somebody last year somebody on BB9 being incredulous that Darnell was black but then of course he was an albino. How odd - I don't think her racial origins signify at all - if anything, to me, her Irishness completely supercedes any colour issue.
I would, (if I was forced to racially categorise her) first and foremost define her as an Irish girl.
If one knew nothing about her I shouldn't think for a minute SHE would primarily be defined as "black".
This is of course presupposing that one actually needs to define anyone by their race.
However, I really DON'T consider her "pretty". (Not that I think she's ugly either).
"Pretty" to me suggests sweetness, grace and delicacy - not characteristics that I would attribute to our dimpling damozel!
To me she has an odd-shaped head - like a light-bulb. And her super-whitened teeth look quite unnatural.

Well said - if racism is an issue, it's more in connection with WHICH black girls are chosen than the HMs/audiences' reaction to them.

On the other hand, Alexandra, Charly, Makosi and Noirin have all had a huge impact and proven to be legendary HMs - I suspect their larger-than-life personalities were the primary factor behind their selection.

I can't remember any of them being bullied though
