Great to see Spencer the rebel. Oh, can I have a badge, Classic, Spencer's going way up, he know's stupid rules are to be broken and he's not going to let a faceless bb get in his way. Keep it up Spencer, what a difference to the grovelling Adele.:laugh:

Couldn't agree more Steve. That Adele - she's such a creep 'Yes Big Brother, No Big Brother' - get a spine girl.

It seemed as though the voice of BB had some difficulty when Spencer was being, well, Spencer really - I'm sure she stifled a laugh when he asked whether he got a badge.

My thoughts exactly susieq.
You could tell by the pause when he asked BB about the badge and it took quite a while for her to answer.
Has anyone else noticed that there seem to be more female BB's this year?

I wonder if Dermot will take to the BB mike this year and frighten the housemates like he did last year! :hello:

I've got the tune from the Great Escape in my head and Spencer throwing a baseball against the wall. Love it, don't let em grind you down.

Steve - that's a perfect image for Spencer. One man against the establishment. That's how I will see him from now on.

I have thought from the start that Spencer was totally arrogant, and tonight's show proves it!

I didn't think it was funny or clever the way he talked to Big Brother, I just thought he was making a mockery of the show!

For this show to work, the housemates have to be prepared to play by the rules! If not there would be mayhem!

Can you imagine if the poor housemates just decided to go through the bars and live on the rich side? Ok it would be funny for a while but if they didn't heed what Big Brother was saying there would be no point in having the show at all!

trouble is with these bars and those rules it isnt worth having a show. Spencer make's it more interesting going against the system. bb is making this kind of thing happen, which is why Spencer being a rebel give's me a laugh anyway.

I liked Spencers reaction to BB as well. The thing is that this year the rules are really worth obeying, they're petty and childish. As for him making a mockery of the show, well, you only have to read the majority of the posts on here over the last few weeks to see that we basically agree with him.

I hope more housemates rebel, it might mean C4 realise how badly they've misjudged everything this year and we might get a show worth watching again.

I agree that Spencer's reaction was great! It made me laugh as I watched it... as discolady said, it's only a game. Some of them were acting like they were in front of the headteacher at school.

There do seem to be more female BBs this year, but also there seem to be more long pauses between BB and the housemates when they talk which seems a bit disjointed. Sometimes it looks as if the housemate is thinking "Has the conversation finished now?"

Lol! what an image! He could be the new Steve McQueen.....
Spencer really makes me laugh - he isn't all grovely like the rest of them, and he has a cheeky, yet clever attitude, he knows how to play them at their own game as well - he makes a few observations, eg after the party, when he commented they were giving out strikes afterwards because it was making good TV.

YOU ARROGANT B*****D!!!!

Oh, he's not! He's lovely!
I would hate it if they all conformed immediately - it makes it much more interesting if they don't!

Anyway, him Kate, their blossoming relationship and wise words from Alex are all I'm watching for now - I find the rest of the housemates (with the exception of Jonny when he's on form, and I think he will perk up when Lee is evicted) very boring and unlikeable - we need people like Spencer in there.

Like I said, if it wasn't for his relationship with Kate, I would barely be watching. (Sad but true.)

Though I have noticed they spendmuch more time showing Alex and Adele and Jade bitching than anything else. It's not that the others don't do interesting things, they just don't show it.

YOU ARROGANT B*****D!!!!

It would be a boring world if we all agreed with the same things  so apologies in advance to Glitterbabe and all the other Spencer fans, but I'm in agreement with Miriam and Janette on this one!

Sorry, Spencer lovers.

I agree with Mairi, Janette and Kaz. Spencer is arrogant and he smells! He is good-looking but not a gentleman.

He sparked off quite a bit of discussion at the time. I was never a fan personally, but he had plenty at the time.
