yeah but it'll be expensive.
I'm not really bothered but why don't they just make passports compulsory instead, it would have the same results really :puzzled:

under Stinking New Labour it is a Utter Mess.
The Money used is needed in other places.
Both Conservative and LibDem will get rid of it.

I hate the ID card scheme entirely. New Labour is a disaster; get them out and bring the Lib Dems in.

A university lecturer of mine was working with the government on how best it could be implemented and if it was feasible. She believed it was a good idea at the time.
Personally I dont see the point of it given the cost and implementation required. The only criminals/migrants it will help catch will be those of very low threat as any who are organised will find ways around it.
I cant see them changing that much in public services to be honest and the image of Nazi Germany doesnt sit well with me either.
Also I can just see me losing it or leaving it at home just when I need the damn thing.

I put Don't Care. But I do care, I just don't know if it is a good or bad idea, so I'm unsure if I agree with it.

i agree, it seems stupid to bring in a whole new system although i do think the idea of it is a good one
