Right, so there might be a thread on this but from what I can see isnt one....
I Didnt watch the Live Feed last night but my aunt
(who is a big fan of BB) just told me that The house were all calling Noirin this and that... but Halfwit said somthing to Bea and David, apperantly he said...
"The only reason Noirin got on like that was because she was brought up as A Catholic"
(I apologize if thats not the excact words, again I didnt watch it)
And David said "Well im a catholic and I dont get on like that"
So my quistion is what really happened?
My aunt wants me to complain but I said I should ask people on here what went on first...
So people who watched the LF::
What happened really?
And should Halfwit be called to the DR with a warning, If it did happen. Because Marcus was pulled in for Sree, why shouldnt Halfwit!

if he stated that then its an opinon, am sure he means that catholics dont usually behave like that? However hes entitled to express his opinion and if you want to complain to ofcom then do so. I myself dont think he meant anything sworded by it given his laid back character.

Probley the way Noirin got with every guy in the house and the way she acted with men, so from what I was told it sounded like Halfwit was like "catholics get on like that"
And David said "Im catholic and I was never like that"

How do you know who's a Catholic and who's not on here? There are so many things in the world to get wound up about, you're taking this a little far. So it you want to talk about being immature and acting like a dick, I suggest you re-read your own post.

IMO he was infering that it was to do with her religious upbringing and sexual repression and basically what she did was a kind of rebellion or reaction to her faith

big brother is a EXPERIMENT, they put people in a house in a confined enviroment and these are the results, u cant help the results of a EXPERIMENT!

Okay, here's what happened.
Freddie, Marcus and David were talking about how pathetic it is that people use alcohol as a crutch and beg for it every night as Noirin did.
They were talking about Noirin's character and how she used her sexuality to get what she wanted including alcohol.
Freddie remarked that, as she was brought up strictly Catholic, she was probably taught that her sexuality was a bad thing so now, as an attractive woman, she's rebelling against that upbringing by drinking enough to let her inhibitions go and use her sexuality to her advantage.

Noirin said she was a catholic in her VT, so thats how did I mention anyone else?
No so ****

We have no idea if he referencing her background as a catholic, from what she told him, or if he is generalising. I'm not jumping on any bandwagon:
1. it's a religious stereotype, not a racial slur.
2. We don't know what she has told Freddie about her upbringing.

He was just refering to her tight family and catholic upbringing and how she wanted to be a good catholic girl most of the time but alcohol gave her an excuse to ignore her moral conscience.

they were talking about noirin's behaviour when she'd had a drink and how it was so different to when she was sober.
david said he'd never met anyone that needed a drink so muh to have fun.
halfwit said that she had a very strict catholic upbringing and was basically told any sexuality was a bad thing. he thought that she wanted very much to be free about her sexuality but because she'd been told it was something to be ashamed about her whole life, it was very hard for her and by having a drink it loosened her inhabitions
david said he was a catholic and he didn't act like that (meaning needed a drink to be a different person). but halfwit was saying that it wan't just about being a catholic, it was about the strict catholic upbringing she had.

That's how I understood it too. They were talking about Noirin always wanting alcohol and Halfwit suggested when she drank she was able to act in a more relaxed way and blame her actions on drink. He wasn't saying that being a Catholic was bad, just that she'd probably had a stricter upbringing because she was Catholic

In Belfast and most of the rest of Northern Ireland. People from a Catholic backround pronounce the letter H differently from people from a Protestant backround. If you say H people know if you are a catholic or protestant from the way you say it. Some people will beatup someone if they are the wrong religion to the other people around them.

Are you serious? You are thinking of complaining about something YOU DID NOT EVEN WATCH?!?!?!?! Pathetic.
So what if he said something bad about religion (which all he said was she had a strict upbringing and wants drink to bring her party side out) what would that matter? It is a religion, not a race or country. I was brought up as a catholic but I do not give a toss about it nor believe any of the bollocks of the B*ble either. Most wars and conflicts start from religion which is pretty ironic so I do not believe in any of it, they are just books. Imagine in 1000 years the new bible will be harry potter and people will have wars over that too lol
Pointless thread imo

Freddie of course is living in the land of myth. He needs a proper education.
He was also talking about catholic education. I went to a convent in the 1950's and believe me you could not teach those girls anything and that was before the alchohol flowed.
One girl was 13 when she went to Italy on a school trip (Vatican here we come) and she came back engaged to an Italian.
