View Full Version : Who Cares

That thread title was impossible to resist - a parody of the Who Goes thread title
I suppose it is a pity I have had to sit this one out this year, but then I want to keep my job as a Cyber Devil's Advocate
This Cyber Devil's Advocate General has such a downer on Reality Television it is unreal.
We are waiting to see the result of the industrial tribunal former CDA to KFC who was sacked for putting a defence of a player on another reality television show.
Plus I have had other things on as well and other projects.
Getting back to the main thread title,
A lot of colum inches and time is taken up with reality TV in general, but what does it achieve?
In the words of Linus van Pelt
"500 years from now who will care?"

5 minutes after the winning result, will any of us care?
In fact, do any of us overly care now? :joker:

Its fun for the moment but thats as far as it goes to be honest. I do not think for a moment anyone really cares. Reality TV is such a fly on the wall look at how so many different indviduals from all backgrounds and race interact with each other, and whilst its an amusement for all those watching, no one really cares a toss what happens to these people when they leave the show. I for one wonder just how many reality shows can these people apply for when the majority are talentless fools.

I've missed the CDA this year, stirling work last year representing Ms Bass. Shame to see them go down the route of corporatism, especially throwing their lot in with the evil that is the fast food industry. :bored: :spin2:

A lot that is said about the fast food industry tends to be uninformed, out of date plain wrong and pandering to snobbery :nono:
My clients have in recent times altered their menu to a more healthier life style, including salads and high fibre products like porridge. Where is the evil here?
My clients also contribute to a charity that provides accommodation for parents, whose children are in hospital. In the past they have even given financial aid to Kew Gardens. Where is the evil here?
Any company that gets involved in "evil" practices will not stay long in business, as people vote with their feet. That is just plain common sense.
Let's cut to the chase as to why my client is reviled
They are American and they sell MEAT
Pieces of dead animal
In these days of political correctness, there is a overtly vegan agenda. Animal rights groups get their propaganda into schools, yet the alternative viewpoint from the Meat and Livestock Commission is hardly ever given airtime.
Is that right? :nono:
I recognise that people are free to choose not to eat meat, and can live on a healthy vegan diet. I do not dispute that that is possible, and I have met people who thrive on it and good luck to them.
However
Biologically ....
Homo-sapiens are omnivores, meaning we can eat both meat and plants. The Animal rights groups are in denial about this.
My clients, mearly seek to make a living from catering to this trait.
Indeed my client does have vegetarian alternatives, so vegetarians are not excluded. Where is the evil here?
My client is maligned unfairly, as they are part of the fast food industry which have been labled as evil
Well this is Cyber Devils Advocacy even if we do have to look after the coporate clients this year

Once again stirling work by the CDA in defending their clients (come back to BB Sticks, please!!).
Personally, I love my fast food especially Burger King who are much superior to McDonalds. But as a member of the liberal intelligentsia, I have to be snobby and haughty about these things. While I sit at home tucking into my extra large double bacon cheese burger with fries and a coke, if asked about it I have to screw my face up and respond in a patronising manner "Oh no, I never eat that stuff." Such is the hypocrisy of being a left wing liberal softie with a penchant for hunks of flame grilled beef!!
Seriously though, we could do with the CDA's work in this years BB. Any chance of you having a word with corporate and maybe lowering yourselves to delve back into the murky world of reality tv!

Unfortunately we have a new Cyber Devil's Advocate General who hates reality TV and canceled the Big Brother Contract. The CDA assigned to KFC was caught putting in a defence of a contestant on another reality TV show and was sacked.
We are awaiting the result of the industrial tribunal
Also I was kind of involved with some church and other stuff which has taken me away.
I suspect if I could come back in now, it would be too late as BB6 is halfway over.
Anyhue, if I am around for BB7, will be dependant on that tribunal, until then its keep our heads down and work for our corporate clients.
