Not while self opinionated fooktards like Bea believe they are right and their opinion is the only truth

she's making a fool of herself with her high horse views tonight. She makes many generalisations too. Often she speaks great sense but she's just being silly and opinionated tonight

For the first time in 9 weeks i'm agreeing with some of what Markus is saying....maybe i should never have watched battlestar galactica....

Uninformed with ludicrously sheltered misleading information from her familial contacts, such as her ‘Grandma’.

She needs a real dose of reality...and I hope she stays the fk away from Freddie!!

Like sealing youself in a house playing silly games for the viewing public with a handful of other no marks is living a reality based life, bea ****. You are making yourself look a bigger tw@t than you seemd before you started your little rant.

she is unbelievable.
she said "weve just had a very interesting conversation"
no.
you sat there and preached your barely educated sophomoric
pseudo-philosophical self-righteous inflated theoretical twaddle
while marcus sat on the couch and felt uncomfortable .. cause really
he just wants to touch your boobies.
(and then get online and play x-men)

All the governments in the world are plotting to control all the people in the world, by giving them access to the internet and letting them have TV's and DVD's etc

Give them a tool with which modern day communications are never easier, yeah sounds really plausible Bea

Another plausible one is your going to win the game show you are appearing in.

Marcus does have that look in her eyes.

Now she is marking hira as an outsider and lining her up for nominations

she is odious and pretentious tonight, whilst being completely closed to any other viewpoint. Very hypocritical and Marcus is doing well picking her up on things.

exactly! and I think that's exactly what she wanted us to think, but first the hair extensions (if she was the hippy she pretended to be she'd have probably just grown her own hair some years ago) and then the snide remarks. she is fake but she did take me in for a week or so.

Don't worry, the irrepressible dark horse has slowly pissed all over most of her psychobabble/wannabe dogooder horseshit and she is now feigning tiredness and retiring to bed!

Gee the Bea haters are all out in force on this thread!

I think she talks a lot of common sense. You probably hate her because she's referring to YOU when she speaks of internet people removed from real social lives! And how sad it is.

Touched a nerve did she? :dance2:

She's so intelligent her brains about to burst, so the hair helps to contain all her wonderful knowledge for it to spill our of her arse, sorry mouth throughout the day.

She forgets that they are some people who can't leave their homes who actually rely on things like the internet.

She generalises far too much in her bid to come across as some kind of Mother Theresa figure who wants to 'save the world', when in fact she is indulging in a reality tv show which, if she truly believed in all her 'escapism is bad, and we should all be out there doing good deeds instead of watching TV, being on the internet' she would never agree to be a part of.

If she feels so strongly about the state of the country/world, why doesn't she step down off her soap box and actually go off and volunteer or something, instead of taking part in a 'reality game show'?

Oh that's right she's 'thought' about doing it a few times, but never actually done it!

I could see Marcus' disappointment growing every second. He likes her so much yet could not believe half the stuff she was saying!! Wonder how they'll edit that tomorrow!

Hmm funny how people read things differently. I thought he was nodding in agreement with most of what she was saying. And also seemed happy to have someone to have a proper discussion about bigger issues. He likes her more I'd say.

And she said herself that she was generalising and there were always anomalies.

Whatever. You guys are clearly determined to read her every word to she says in your own light. Some guys just can't handle a woman with opinions and views about bigger issues. Her basic premise that technology is destroying human social contact is an absolute truth. I really don't get what you're trying to ridicule.

It could have a sense what she said and I could agree with some of that but what she does is against what she said. How you can be part of relity TV wich make people watching not living their lives and say something what she said??? Also I dont like way she is talking to people like " we shoul think about plannet". She is like priest and she doesnt like different opinions.

But technology has also opened doors for communicating with people all over the world. For example, when i went travelling i was able to talk to friends and family via internet and actually see their faces via web cam. If it wasn't for people studying things such as space and technology, then we'd still be living in the same villages with little concept of what's going on in the rest of the country let alone on a global scale.

Yes on a level I agree that technology is also having a negative effect as well. Like Bea said, you end up using facebook, or texting someone who is no more than 5 minutes walk away...so you're losing out on that physical contact at times.

Bea told markus to 'shut up talking about space, as we need to focus what's going on in the world we live'. I found that pretty rude and ignorant. Markus was trying to have a discussion about something which interested him. Yes i can understand Bea's point in that there are so many social problems, global warming etc etc etc which exist on Earth which need to be fixed, but to say it's pointless taking the other stuff in to consideration just seemed pretty ignorant to me. She's come across in a number of chats as having a know it all attitude, I dislike this trait in any person.
