I was thinking of applying for this year after BB9 finished. Then I came round to my senses and realised it's a freakshow

I would love to do it but I'm not a deluded media wh0re.
Besides I couldn't get in if I tried because you need connections to get on the show these days.

As a former contestent who has experienced the weird and wonderful world that is BB, I advise that if you really want to go on it you have to be prepared for a big change in your life following your exit from the house. I know mine did (in both good ways and bad ways).
Very difficult to not emotionally go mad in there really lol

A bit of both really, I lasted 5 weeks I think it was, it was leading up to my eviction where I think people jumped on the get me out bandwagon, but having said that I wouldn't class myself as a disliked contestent

I'd like to point out the very likely scenario that there will not be a BB11.
Most people won't know this but there's been a war going on behind the scenes between Endemol and Channel 4. Endemol are furious that the brand has been damaged by Channel 4's scheduling and cutbacks whereas Channel 4 is embarassed by Big Brother and wishes to wash their hands of it.

they get booed going in cause of those stupid VT's, which are hashed together to make them look like hateful idiots! If they didn't show those they wouldn't get booed!

On the series? Well I wouldn't say hooked as such, but I have been guilty of watching it here and there
Favourites Halfwit, Dogface, and David.
Least favourite at the moment Bea.

Bea would be a nightmare to live with if you got on her bad side but as a viewer she's magnificent.

Everything up to BB9.
I pulled out of my application process for BB10 when I saw the 'writing on the wall' and saw C4 was turning rotten and going wrong.
I wasn't the only one either and after talking to the others I was very confident I was in good company. The people who pulled out were quality 'real people' with genuinely good intentions for the life experience and personal journeys or even to challenge themselves over shyness, fear of public speaking etc.
Now, seeing BB10 and it only confirms everything and so no regrets whatsoever.
More to the core of the OP:
Yes, the voters and fans (not so much TiBB people) but the usual crowds and audiences have become cynical and jaded along with C4.
Everyone is booed now.
Every HM is treated as a 'fame *****' and many are but its especially sad when those who are NOT are treated as such and judged accordingly.
BB became malicious, mean-spirited and this year is almost a 'senility' creeping in.
A Summer long 24/7 production of 'Jerry Springer: The Play' and far too many struggling to repeat their duties without being 'down pat' redundant.
(I don't even blame them on that one).
What I would love to participate in:
This is the last season of C4 doing Big Brother.
It is put away for couple of seasons.
A different Channel and an entirely new production team takes it on.
Not 'their version' either but an entirely new, more adult, more purist, more 'real'.
The House is far off in a countryside. HM may not even know where they are and every effort is made to hide any signs of a production or television program.. ..as much as possible.
A totally different look and feel,
THAT I would consider applying for. I know I would become a loyal viewer all over again.
