View Full Version : Marcus is vile pig with the mentality of a 14 year old male virgin

It seems that he finds it impossible to not mention sex when discussing women. Even Hira, look in this clip:
http://www.bigbroweb.co.uk/big-brother-10/marcus-and-siavash-explore-hira-s-attitude-in-the-house-and-to-sex.aspx
Hira is just a nice, polite girl it's horribly distasteful of him to talk about her in that context. I'm glad he probably will never get married because I would pity his wife.
And his 'david is getting above his station' routine. No, Marcus, you've been above your station since day 1. He actually thinks he's big brother. This eviction has made his far to big headed.
I can't believe the public kept the pig who bragged about groping a drunk woman in over Noirin. He actually sickens me, he's a disgusting pervert.

I'm starting to like Marcus a little bit now that Noirin has gone, and Marcus has (or maybe had) dropped his 'dirty old man' routine.
His lechery will cost him in the long run.I much prefer to see the bad Marcus challenging BB!

I quite agree with you. Got slagged off by one or two for expressing those views - but doesn't change them at all!!
I have always thought his behaviour not only disgusting but worrying! Not a popular opinion with some!!
But a lot also agree!! I know what I saw and I know what he said - so as far as I am concerned the evidence is there!!

I have warmed to Marcus recently.
But on this occasion I think he's a bit out of order.
It's already been discussed that Hira won't bathe in front of anyone else and won't even wear a bikini, for cultural and religious reasons.
It seems wrong to me to discuss her in those terms.
Much though I think she's a boring housemate I think that there has to be some respect.

im very comfortable with myself and my views and dont need to be praised or pretend to be something im not in order to get attention from men.

I think people, that we are all missing the point a bit.
Whether we on this forum think that it is or isn't the done thing to talk about a woman like that isn't really the point.
The more important point is that Hira, as a Muslim probably - nay, almost certainly, would be hurt and offended.

You know what's worst? Is that women think that by accepting this sort of behaviour they make themselves more attractive to men. Just like those sad desperate girls who pretend to be lesbians or say they would have a threesome just to try to get the attention of men. That's why you're emphasising the fact that your female and not uptight. Because you think, and perhaps rigthly, that it will gain you praise.
You do our whole gender a disservice. It's because of women like that passively accept being turned into objects of lust that the rest of us have to deal with being letched over
You don't have a phone number or two for those tarts who will do the threesome, do you?

No, to be fair that's not a fact because I wouldn't talk about a woman who I knew was devoutly Muslim in that way.
And neither would most of my male friends / aquaintances.
Posted by a bloke who isn't uptight, and likes women, and quite likes THE Irrepressible Underdog, but thinks that there is a line to be drawn there somewhere.
Exactly. Talking about a porn star or a woman who walks around with her tits and fanny hanging out is one thing but talking about a devout muslim who is married and opposes wearing even a bikini is another
why would a devout married muslim woman go on a show like bb?
not many of the men in the history of bb have been perfect gents.
put yourself on there and you become a target for all sorts of nonsense.

Feminism is about equality, not about sexual repression.
We can never have real equality if every time a man looks at a woman all he thinks about it sex - which is obviously what Marcus does
It isn't all a man thinks about. Evidently you have some sort of sexual chip on your shoulder because the mention of sex engages you to register it in your mind, causing a false positive. It's how charlatans and tarot readers make their money. We as humans are geared to recognise patterns. You choose sex as a pattern to recognise. I think you may have a few undealt with issues m'dear.

To be honest, I just watched the clip all the way through and I cannot really see what the fuss is about. It seemed to me Marcus was talking in a jocular fashion about how a person would behave if a semi-subservient desire to please carried over into a person's sex life. After the initial "turn" in the conversation he wasn't even talking about any particular person.
Further, I don't think there is particular gender significance to it beyond the simple fact that Marcus is a man speaking from a man's point of view. It would be quite possible for a woman to speculate in a similar way. In fact, I have both heard such conversations and even participated in them in a light-hearted way (representing my gender and being the butt of the joke but never offended).
With quite remarkable irony, one of the episodes of Friends following the BB highlights show repeat this morning was on this very topic, deriving some humour from the idea that Joey might "be there" for his partner (you might have to watch it to get the joke).
Yeah, he was being rather crude but I don't see any deeper significance to it.
Once again, I am surprised and slightly amused at the prudishness and widespread righteous indignation on this forum.

Because it was the first word you used. And since you all reckon he was speaking of Hira, a racist comment would be the one you were on about, not homophobic, unless she is a closet lesbian. Which I doubt.

loomy(loony)that is soooo 2nd wave 1970s feminism. This is a post feminist era. Get educated, read what contemporary 3rd wave Feminists are now positing. You're 3 decades too late. :pat:
No; I don't like the new feminism. They've got it all wrong and try to justify everything by saying it's empowering to women when I don't think it is at all
oh, so THEY'VE got it all wrong, not you? All the 3rd wave feminists have got it wrong just cos they dont agree with your outdated/uptight views.
Nearly all cotemporary feminists dismiss the kind of feminism you seem to be spouting here as being female-centric, gender devisive and driven by MISANDRY.
Get real, get with it and chill out.

I doubt that too.
But my point was still a general one about free speech not excusing lack of respect.

30 year old mother of 3 girls here. I think your assumption may be way off. He has intelligence, he questions the system and he makes fools out of social stereotypes. Just because it isn't your humor, it doesn't mean he is puerile.

No, not really. But you've got a great line in Smileys so I give up.
And besides which, I've got to get to my Politically Correct, In the closet, uptight, repressed blokes who like to slip Rohypnol into womens' drinks meeting... actually, I've always wanted to be accused of being PC, I've achieved my lifetime ambition, the irony is almost too much.

I think people, that we are all missing the point a bit.
Whether we on this forum think that it is or isn't the done thing to talk about a woman like that isn't really the point.
The more important point is that Hira, as a Muslim probably - nay, almost certainly, would be hurt and offended.
she aint a strict one or her husband/father/brother would not have let her in that house.
Its a telly game show ffs blue; they know the score.
What's strict?
I mean I really don't know as I'm not a Muslim.
She prays and she has asked people to respect her modesty.
Isn't that good enough?
blue, yes there are as many 'Islams' as there are Islamic nations. The Islam of Saudi is very different from the Islam of Malaysia. So, yes, defining what is 'strict' is not easily achieved.
However, it is certainly true that many Islamic cultures would most certainly prevent Hira from entering that house. The fact that she is in there would suggest what we in the west would percieve as more 'relaxed' interpretation and parctice of Islam. This being the case i find acceptable that Hirs has to 'put up with' western liberal behaviour from the other housemates no matter how incongrous such behaviour may be to Islamic practice and etc.
