Was anybody else shocked by Bea's mistake. She was telling Rodrigo that the Queen's husband was dead, which was why there was no King!!!!! The Duke of Edinburgh was still alive the last I heard. I thought she was supposed to be really intelligent!!!:cheer2:

I just came in as she said that, and I thought, no... I must have misheard her. She can't be that stupid, surely! But yes... she is. Shameful to be so ignorant about your own country.

I was gobsmacked about Bea's ignorance, given that Bea apparently comes from the sort of background (privileged) in which knowledge of the royals would be uppermost. She even went to Cheltenham Ladies' College! She even claimed that she she could teach etiquette and elocution!
It just goes to prove, being accentless and privileged does not equal intelligence.

Yes 'taking the piss' seems to be this girl's only talent. But she wasn't taking the piss when she said that the Queen's husband was dead. It was said straight, backed up by her body language.

I am not convinced that she was joking, it was rather lame if she was ...
She is quite opinionated and I cannot bear her know it all attitude, which is getting worse because most of the housemates are too ignorant, or from other backgrounds and will therefore probably not know details about such things as the royal family to pull her up on these matters. Marcus is the only one that has done so. To me, it just shows how far you can go if you spout off full of confidence and self belief. If you dissect some of her comments they are full of holes.
