Last night Marcus was talking about a confrontation he had with David.David thought he heard Marcus say he was gonna punch him during the argument and complained to BB.BB was going to reprimand Marcus but reviewed the footage and saw that David had misheard.Marcus asked them to apologise saying,"Your not God,your just a little man behind a microphone."When BB refused to apologise Marcus told them they were pathetic. He also revealed that BB accused him earlier in the series of calling Charlie a q***r when he had called him a quitter.

Marcus isn't in charge. He just knows that nobody is in charge. The game is a fallacy. Heirachy is a fallacy. Class is a fallacy. Everyone is equal!

Marcus is extremely brave and 'confrontational' when in the Diary Room when he knows there is no possibility of any real person facing him or any physical threat. What a coward lol

In futher Marcus news he revealed it bothers him that BB never makes any attempt to joke with him-unlike the other housemates who constantly emrerge from the diary room giggling and telling everyone about the conversation they've just had.Suppose calling them "*******ing w***ers,pr**cks"etc might have something to do with it.Marcus gives them the respect they deserve in my opinion. As he says, they're not God.

So... erroneous accusations against Marcus, who is basically an innocent victim in all this, thankfully sorted out. Not sure what people are doing piling into this thread with "Marcus is in charge" and "Marcus knows nothing".

Anyway, I am glad the problems were resolved and Marcus was exonerated.

How is that cowardice? Marcus has it out with anyone he feels he needs to have it out with.
Lisa just pulls her Grima Wormtongue and sends in other people to do her bidding. That's cowardice.

BB has used Marcus as much as Marcus has used them - why should he not moan at them if they get things wrong. BB are pushing Marcus' buttons. This is why I like Marcus whether you like him or not you cannot say he is putting on an act he is treating BB like he would any other person instead of the usual housemates ar*e licking and saying what they think BB or the public want to hear. He makes me cringe sometimes but he sure is a unique housemate amongst a bunch of boring farts

I am kind of glad David did go to the Diary Room to complain, as it led to Marcus' exoneration.

If David had just sat at the bus stop, talking about it with Lisa, then there would have been a whole host of irrational people on this forum immediately believing it and bleating about it every single day.

Oh come on - we are not at school now - where you don't tell tales!!

Adult world - threats of physical violence are not acceptable!!

Accepted - David misheard what Marcus said - but at the time he believed he had been threatened!

Bearing in mind the way Marcus sometimes behaves - it is not surprising that he believed that. He is a gay man - as far as I am aware - gay men are not into all that he-man fighting stuff. Just because he is big built - doesn't mean he has to play the hard man!!!

I've said it before - Marcus is scared of Rodrigo and you will notice Marcus avoids him at all costs and constantly and to the point of all but pretending he doesn't exist.
He didn't even try and fight back with Rodrigo and just lowered his head and tried more fake laughter.

This reminds me - one thing you have or will notice about Marcus is that his 'Diary Room fights' will come in proportion and following incidents with HMs where he failed to carry out his false bravado, warnings or threats of what he 'would tell them'.
He doesn't,
but,
he will then go into the DR and unleash the 'what I would have done' onto Big Brother.
Example: He hid under a duvet seething about how he would tell off Tom and how he will say this and that to Tom if Tom blah blah,
but,
As soon as he is confronted by Tom or is near Tom then Marcus turns into a chubby good times lad.
..... he then takes out his 'promise' on BB calling them 'you wanker' and all that and grabs Tom (the board) and easily throws it to the ground.

Watch for it - its weird.
I suppose if he told off BB last night then it might have been Rodrigo.
The 'tough talk' he was too scared to give Rodrigo.

Coward.

Oh come on, he could kill him with his eyebrow.
Rodders was upset. Marcus was upset that he had upset Rodders. Thats all there was to it.
He has a heart and he's a reasonable, rational guy. Rodders had some valid points. Marcus knew it. Besides theres no arguing with the hyper little terrier when he's off on one :laugh2:

You can't give tough talk to someone who has a point. It's unreasonable.

The idea that Marcus was "scared" of Rodrigo is utterly preposterous and there is not the slightest evidence for it. I think some people need to take off their "Hater Goggles".

Its not bravery or fear that caused Marcus just to ignore Rodrigo, its cause he knows that Rodders is probably well liked outside and doesnt want to turn viewers against himself if he did react to Rodrigos outburst.

Best thing to do is ignore Rodrigo and let him make a spectacle of himself.

We're also getting an edited version of Marcus in the diary room, not to mention we're probably not seeing EVERY visit he makes either. It's hard to draw this correlation.

Plus: someone get David a hearing aid. It's obvious he is a bit deaf due to his voice.

BB should apologise to Marcus, as if he had have said it they would make him apologise, BB do not like Marcus standing up to them, but its about time someone challenged their authority! I never understood why noone did until now. Marcus really doesn't care if he goes or not and BB don't like that and neither do the HM's!

Strongly disagree - BB love it when Marcus stands up to them - because that is what his supporters like him to do! Then gets more viewers! Marcus is playing into their hands the whole time - he is playing their game - they are very much the ones in control - and he knows it -that's why he does it!

It is not about bravery - it is about playing the game and getting as much attention as poss!

All about making himself a popular housemate!!

Shasown
05-08-2009, 03:32 PM
What have they to apologise for?

Did they actually accuse him, or say "it could be taken that...."?

BB are careful about what they say to housemates, thats why they always give the "we will get back to you ...." treatment.

If a housemate complains, they start reviewing what the other person has said and done, they also pull in the other person and ask them what they said/done/meant, they dont just accuse.

Until they do accuse, Marcus doesnt deserve an apology, incidentally if they didnt accuse Marcus, if they simply asked to account for his actions or comments, should he give an apology to BB for lying and trying to big himself up?

If on the other hand they did accuse him, and it was found that he hadnt done or said what they thought he had, then yes he should receive an apology.

Nonsense in 2 points. Firstly, it's just a cliche to think that Gay men are not as likely to use their fists as straight men

Secondly, David can indeed feel threatened and make a complaint if he chooses, no one should deny him this. However, he can also act like a man and apologise to Marcus for his mistake, Sadly though, I doubt that David is man enough to do this
