Saw this last night; definitely the scariest horror film I've ever seen, mostly because it's all based on tension and not on gore, that's what a horror film should be about - it should horrify you, not attempt to gross you out! I liked that there was no "reason" for the people to terrorise them; it was literally just mayhem and suspense. Anyone else seen it? There were quite a few horror clichés in it, and moments where you wanted to shout "don't split up" etc at the TV screen, but overall it was very good!

I mean it still has some of the stereotypical horror "flaws" i.e. splitting up to go for help, answering the door etc... but for the most part, the actual events that take place are believable in the sense that anybody could do that to you... aaahh. I'm home alone just now, paranoia!!

The door and wall knocking absolutely freaks me out. One of my favourite horror films of all time.

I'll probably watch it when it's on Sky. It's one of those films that I wouldn't mind watching but can't be arsed to do so.

i thought it was very average... not at all what the ads hyped it up to be like. was a bit of a let down for me.

I found it pretty good - it did freak me out a bit and I'm not normally scared by movies. It's better on Blu-Ray because the sound is so crisp it feels as if they're right next to you lol.

It was ok.
I thought the film THEM was much more scary. (a true story) made it even more disturbing.

I have just watched it.

It was so scary but I don't get who those boys were and what happened at then end did they turn Evil because she grabbed the boy and what the 3 people wanted and who were they. :conf:

The Strangers is based on two true cases.

A horror film that relies on making you jump to scare you is not a very good one.
