Isnt it sad that the admin have had to introduce warnings on this site. Its something that has never happened before. We have always been a very friendly site who have been able to disagree with each other without throwing insults at each other.
Everyone has their own views - let's accept them and the fact that we may not think the same way.
i got a warning for saying ''is Makosis hair real or fake'' i mean wots that all about!

I think it is sad but sometimes people go a little too over the top. I had insults thrown at me today just because I didn't like the text words and requested that they use real words instead!
Some people do not understand the difference between insulting and having a view!
But why did i get a warning for asking if makosis hair is real or fake i dont get it lol :devil::mad:
Thats been the problem over the past few weeks, some people take everything as an insult instead of taking someones opinion, the way i look at it is you get a warning then you deserve it, end of story.
Well i disagree what i said was not offensive in anyway! it was a question not an opinion and im takin the matter further!

i thought your warning, elz belz was for a post further in the thread, and not the question about makosi's hair! There's a post of yours in the same thread that has a note in it from admin saying it was removed?

i was just going to say that - maybe the warning was for something else?
Well i cant see anything else in there thats offensive and i got a message from admin saying that i got if for sayin is her hair real

Well the best course of action is to ask them what it "really" was that led to you getting a warning and then say sorry to the people you upset but only if you mean it.
yeah i have asked what i got a warning for and i dont see how it offended anyone but if it did im sorry1 :spin2:

Ok - this person is sorry so go to her thread and take it on board. It's a Science thing - it take a big person to say sorry so do the right thing and let her know that you understand. We all make mistakes.

Warning was for this post - http://www.thisisbigbrother.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=34759#pid139978 - 20th post in the topic. Insulting another poster.
----------------------
I haven't explained this warning system - the way it works is three warnings leads to a ban of 72 hours. Each warning lasts 72 hours also and then disappears. We may adjust these times. Obviously bans can become permanent if people keep putting offending posts.
It's a bit sad we have to have this but if people are going to discuss the show in a non-grown up way I guess it's necessary. But the vast majority of people on here do discuss the show reasonably.
Anyway, I can make the warning symbols invisible if you think they are too intrusive.
It's very sad that we've had to introduce a warning system! Unfortunately it's the only way we can see that will make people THINK before they post!
It is after all ony a Television show and to be honest when the show stops within a couple of days you will have forgotten all about them and moved on to the next reality TV show.

Yeah, I think a warning system is a good idea to deter some of the spamming that I've seen when looking on the BB6 related threads. I've seen some discussions descend into insults and completely pointless banter, when the only intention is to discuss BB6.

yeah if there was no warnings people might just join spam, insult people, be racist etc

I think its a great idea to introduce, will keep the trouble makers at bay and people with proper opinions a chance to share them and not be critisised at every given opportunity.
Well Done Admin :dance::joker::dance::joker:

As long as it is fair and those more straight forward souls don't get punished, and longer serving members get away with everything.
Elz_Belz was warned for something I see all the time, so am intrigued as to why her?
Hopefull I will not occur a warning for this.

Elz_Belz was warned for insulting another forum member, not asking whether Makosi's hair was real.
If there are other insulting posts on the forum that have not resulted in warnings being given it is because these posts have been missed, not overlooked.

I agree Rach.
I only joined just over a year ago and when I joined one of the first thing I noticed was how friendly and welcoming the site was.
And even when BB started there was the very odd argument that got out of hand but we just accepted the fact that everyone had a different opinion and just had a bit of a laugh and joke about everything really.
But this year....people are so serious about everything and in general people are very much more offensive this year. Its a shame to see that a warning system had to be introduced, but unfortunately I think it was inevitable.
