other words that could be used instead!

Bullying is an act of repeated aggressive behavior in order to intentionally hurt another person, physically or mentally. Bullying is characterized by an individual behaving in a certain way to gain power over another person .

Behaviors may include name calling, verbal or written abuse, exclusion from activities, exclusion from social situations, physical abuse, or coercion .

Bullies may behave this way to be perceived as popular or tough or to get attention. They may bully out of jealousy or be acting out because they themselves are bullied .

annoyer, antagonizer, browbeater, bulldozer, coercer, harrier, hector, insolent, intimidator, oppressor, persecutor, pest, rascal, rowdy, ruffian, tease, tormenter, tough

Now you can all make your own minds up about it and use other words too!

I totally agree. Also, bullying is a pattern of behaviour that is repeated over a period of time, not a one off argument/bitch session/practical joke/misunderstanding.

The word bully gets bandied around far too often these days, same with the word racist.

Browbeater amuses me, makes me think of Marcus's quote 'I could honestly kill him with my eyebrow' :joker:

Agreed, Lisa (and I hate her so feckin much) never "bullied" anyone. It wasn't nice what she did but it was no where near bullying.
