An interesting thought occurred to me this afternoon .............. if the house split had happened last year during BB2, how would the housemates have coped with it? :spin2:

To be honest, I think most of them would have coped with a week on the poor side - - - - - except Brian and Helen. :colour:

Dean would have shrugged and taken it in his stride
Elizabeth would have been incredibly resourceful with the meagre food supply
Paul would have thought it was 'wicked'!

and I think the rest of them would have made the best of it. Even Narinder would have thanked the diet of chickpeas and lentils for helping her constipation problem.

But Brian and Helen????????? Oh ... My ... God ............. it would be completely evil! :colour: :spin2: :colour:

Who do you think would have coped or not? :spin2:

The bb2 house was all a bit like the poor side last year, did they have 400 quid to spend I can't remember. I think they might have had a stint on the lentils as well and cold shower's but at least they had the den and Dean's guitar music.:hello::dazzler:

They didn't have £400 to spend but they were loads better off than the poor side. They at least had hot water in the morning, the shower and loo were not outside and they got a bit scarce on food one week but never as bad as what the poor side have to put up with this year. They had sofa's to sit on and a fair amount of alcohol. No comparison really.

They had tasks to keep them busy as well.

I tend to agree with your analysis Kaz, the thought of Brian in the outside shower is very amusing. I acrtually don't think Helen would be as bad.

Yes steve_o!!! I remember it well. Its just shows that cold water effects people differently.

No need for contrived situations to make a good experience.................!

Halcyon days indeed.......

Yes happy memories indeed .............. but you're not answering my question! :nono:

What'd really like to know is how you think the BB2 contestants would have coped with having to live for at least a week on the poor side of the BB3 house - who would have, and who wouldn't have. :spin2:

I'm all ears! :colour:  :colour:

I think penny,Elizabeth,Stuart,Dean would have coped on the poor side for a week the others would not have but this would have been interesting to see as this could have been the decideing nominations for everyone!!! I cannot imagine Brian and Helen lasting long on the poor side and Bubble would have probably gone mad!!!

In NoTW today Helen says she likes the bars, she also said that her mum phoned her up and said 'can you imagine if you and Paul had been split up!'

The BB2 lot had it easy in comparrison to this years housemates. They might have suffered the same stretches of boredom but at least they had books, magazines, Deans fantatsic music and more tasks and NO BARS dividing them!
As to who I think woould have coped with living in the 'poor' side well...

Brian - would have thought it was absolutley "EVIL". I cannot imagine him eating the crap that is being passed off as a staple diet...he hated vegtables although did eat them. He was use to cold showers so that would have been no problem. The chickens would have been just a tad too close for comfort and cooking would have been disastrous but Brian would have given 110% as he always did with each task set in BB2. He always mananged to bring such good humour to everything he did..so I have no doubt everyone would have laughed with him so much, the week would have flown passed and things might not have been as depressing as the BB3 housemates found life on the 'poor' side last week.

Betty - well of course it would have been right up her street...so she would not have found it a problem.

Josh - would not have liked it much but would have made the best of it. I am not sure how he would have coped without his 'special' wardrobe though. He did love the chickens so he would have been happy about having them with him!

Amma -would have hated it full stop...no baco-foil..and no fridge for left overs arghhhhh!!!!! She would have hated the food, although I think she could have mustered up some more varied dished than the housemates managed last week.

Helen - would "not be 'appy" but would have been very much like Jade and done her very best to get stuck into the task in hand. The 'Porridge Princess' would have stiil been able to make her special breakfast dish, but would not have appreciated the strange process of having to use the erm...outside kitchen!!! There would have been a few moans here and there about not being able to do the usual girlie stuff both she and Jade have come to rely on daily...but she would have managed.

Paul - I can imagine making the best of it too, he always threw himself into any task 100% in BB2.

Stuart - would have moaned constantly...it would have been soooo beneath him... but he would have reluctantly coped.

Bubble - All I can think of in light of Spencers mood change when he ran out of 'baccy' is that Bubble would have been a monster without his cigarettes. I wonder if he would have been clever enough to persuade Big Bro' to include tobacco and papers in the weekly rations as Spencer managed to...somehow I don't think so. Bubble didn't have the same appealing charm as Spencer has, and was quite aggressive at the drop of a hat on a number of ocassions too, so this would have played against him. I actually think also that Bubble would have definietly done a 'Sandy' and scarpered over the wall.

Penny - would have coped with the general day to day chores, but oh dear we would definielty have worried for her sanity even more than we did when she was faced with problems in the house last year!

Dean - would have been in the Diary Room every minuite of the day arguing and fighting for the housemates rights. Spencer is a little bit like him in this respect, although I think it has been more for his own discrepances...whereby Dean tended to fight for everyone. Dean would certainly have coped in his usual laid back manner but I am not sure about not being able to play his beloved guitar, I think this would have been very difficult for him...and would have slowly driven him mad.

Narinder - would have been completely horrified and been in a strop all week....but I think she would have still found certain aspects funny and had a laugh too.
