View Full Version : Backlash for BB!

There seems to be a lot of backlash towards BB after tonight eviction.
A lot of forums are in uproar, and the BB website is full of complaints at BB fixing it so that Hira went.
I am pissed Hira went, but apparently some people are calling OFCOM. Lol.
Don't worry, I won't be, I have better things to do.
But I must say I am disappointed in tonights BB, and for the first time in 10 years, I am not bothered about it anymore.

It's obvious why Hira went, she was boring, why on earth are people actually writing to OFCOM about it?!
People that can't see that it wasn't fixed are delusional IMO.

she wasnt boring!
she was up for anything and was funny!
People have become utterly obsessed with "fixes", "conspiracies" and calling OFCOM. It is pathetic.

Lmao@ people complaining to Ofcom. :joker:
With it being vote to save it was probably always going to be Hira to leave tbh, BB obviously want to keep the stronger characters in and make some money at the same time.

It was a pretty **** Friday eviction. But they knew it would be. They knew the outcome would be Hira.

So, for me, she was a boring HM, the most boring of the one's left, and although she was very sweet and kind, I didn't particularly like her.

Is Rodrigo somehow not a 'jonny foreigner'?

People are only moaning because;
1. They liked her
2. Lisa/Bea wasn't evicted
3. About BB doing the 'twist' - what they should of got over on Tuesday night...
All the fixes etc are so pathetic. Sore losers... They're evicted because they're boring, hated, not as liked/entertaining as the people up with them or simply don't have enough fans.

It was one of the better results given the abhorrent vote fixing. There's still a decent chance to get lisa out next week.

There was only one conspiracy, it was by people on message boards and forums thinking that they could buck the natural order by tactical voting.
People will have to deal with that and hopefully learn a lesson.

Any complaint to ofcom will hit a dead end. It was a vote to save, she got the least vote. Simple. People complaining have not got a leg to stand on.
An issue i have regard the fixing accusation is.
On Bblb earlier they said Lisa looked clear favourite to go until 24 before, but Bea was neck and neck.
No mention of hira.

I don't know what is going on in all the forums but I can tell you that a lot of my friends and I were watching and it really was a huge sense of 'wtf' sort of disappointment.
Everyone 'felt' as though this whole thing had been a phony scheme/scam 'numbers game trick' sort of money-grab,
and,
were even more disappointed that there didn't seem to be any more rules or purpose when.. inexplicably.. Hira gets evicted because Marcus broke the rules?
Huh?
And for some reason we had to pay to vote for that in a way that almost requires '9 paid calls' to get the effect of 1 paid call??
Now, maybe someone here is going to say there was nothing illegal about it,
and,
yes, they explained it was a voting scheme to 'save'.
Yes.
Well that doesn't mean viewers and participants LIKED that scheme either.
We didn't.
We did not enjoy the results and we did not enjoy the consequences and we do not like this rule.
Yes, I do believe there will be a backlash and Big Brother will deserve it and pay for it.
For starters - why should I follow this with any suspense when they are just going to rework rules, take away my desire to 'vote to evict' or 'artificially' carry through players like Marcus anyways.
Losing interest now. Not interested in participating now. Don't feel I want to pay for a vote now since it might not change anything or 'backfire' on me with a new rule change or scheme.
Again, don't know what the internet crowds are saying but we were all left with a 'what the **** was that supposed to be for?' sense.
Interesting - it was the type of thing where we all just sorta walked away from the television before it was even over.
We used to stay put right to the very very end.
Yeah.. I think in their effort to milk the public for every drop they could squeeze - they ended up with a public that is not going to be so thrilled next time.

No you didn't! That's how the voting gets c0cked up - when viewers try to find a way of still voting somebody out INSTEAD of going with what BB asks.
BB asked voters to make one call (as usual) and that was to SAVE YOUR FAVE!
I'm pretty certain that this particular voting format has been used in most series at some point.

I am jacked off with the powers that be that run BB, it happens every year and increasingly so. You can see where they are coming from, it's all about viewer ratings and if they percieve that p s u x y and z are more interesting than a b c d f g and h. then they are going to be under enormous pressure to keep them in and I guess it does say that BB can make the rules up as they go along.
Having said that, what makes them think that, let's say if Lisa or Bea or Marcus or Siavash or Sophie had gone the house wouldn't have take on a total different dynamic and would have been just as interesting in other ways?
As it was Marcus and Bea were up for eviction and imho, one of them should have gone and it wouldn't have made a slight difference to the enjoyment of watching the programme, I reiterate, the house would have taken off in a different way.
You could argue that by keeping Bea in, it harms Freddie's chance of winning, and if Marcus had gone, then the controling factor in the house would have been removed and a power vacuum would have arisen, and it would have been interesting to see who would have been calling the shots.
You could see from last week, that they were determined to have a 'save the house mates week' this week, whatever happened.
Tampering with the workings too much, methinks.

That is because you are not sophisticated enough to comprehend anything other than foul language, fights or wrestling moves as entertainment.
People who have developed and matured in this field were the ones who appreciated the brilliant entertainment value in Hira,
and,
No I'm not even going to bother trying to explain it.
Back on topic.. .. doesn't seem to have bothered the hardcore internet BB boards as much as it did the more 'regular fans' I was watching it with. There was a really bad collective 'wtf?' and then a sigh and a shrug.
It did make me think how years from now someone might ask:
Where would you put the moment BBUK 'jumped the shark' and went downhill?"
- and some pundit somewhere will point to this night as that tipping point.
The time where BB 'sold out' or maybe even say 'cashed in' on the public.
Vicky.

There has been vote to saves before.
Only people getting pissed off are Hira fans.
If you were that bothered you would have voted for her more.
Simple.
Vicky.
08-08-2009, 07:25 AM
And basically, the idiots ringing ofcom, ofcom will laugh in your faces as BB did nothing wrong. They CLEARLY STATED it was vote to save on numerous occasions. Therefore they broke no rule.

The only people that seem happy with this are Marcus fans who, once again, saw their fukktard get babied and saved by Big Brother in a completely nonsensical 'punishment'.
No seriously, plenty of people were really disappointed with this. Nothing to do with 'Hira fans' although everyone is a Hira fan anyways.

Marcus would have slaughtered bea in a vote to evict with them two.

Strange how the emptiest vessels tend to make the loudest noise.
How do you know what is going to happen in the future, and if you do, would be ever so kind as to let a few of us on here have the winning lottery numbers for this weeks draw?
No one is saying this is the first time that a 'save' vote has happened. What general viewers are pi55ed off about is the fact that BB has once artificially affected the result not only for this week, but for possibly the eventual outcome of this years show.
Not only that, they are also taking the pi55 and fleecing the general public and BB fans alike.

Its pretty obvious by the level of hatred for bea that she would have gone over marcus.
No need to attempt to get clever...though an intelligent sounding post from you is a change I have to admit, even though nearly everything you say is total bull.
No doubt you are a hira fan though. so cant be reasoned with.
The only reason they changed it to vote to save, I think anyway, was because they knew they would make a lot more money from this than a normal vote to evict.
Same as i believe they are going to attempt to influence the voting in some way to get lisa and bea up against each other this week. Since this will be the most profitable outcome.

Uh.. well Marcus best chance might have been against Bea or Lisa but he would have still gone by 70%+
If anyone ever has any doubt about how unpopular Marcus is then just wrap your head around this:
Of all the people he goes up against Noirin, possibly one of the most hated HMs this season and even after they brought in Isaac, she had to ice-cold dump Siavash and then proceed to act like a-holes and even then promise the public a '2 for 1',
AND IT WAS STILL CLOSE LOL!
Bea is hated but she is one highly skilled stir-monster who is owning Marcus hard in the house.
She would easily survive being up against Marcy.
But hey.. no worries. Big Brother saved Marcus again this week so wallow in that shame.
Hira did what Marcus can never do - leave with dignity to a cheering crowd.

I thought the whole eviction night turned out to be a bit of an anti-climax. I think the panelist were disappointed at the outcome as I am sure they would have loved to get their teeth into iether Lisa or Bea.

You have to vote to save on the final nite, it's no different. What's the big deal? BB would be much fairer if this was how it was done every week. Viewers would pick their faves all the time instead of having to kick out one of 2 possibly great characters. Get over it!

Short answer please, if that is possible for you.

Wth they didnt fix it AT ALL they CANT Fix it
(Yep I learned that last week after thinking they were gona save Noirin)
They could go to court for doing that, do you really tink that they would risk that just to get rid of Hira and Save Bea and Lisa?
I belive the forums helped Bea and Lisa, people on here and else were wanting Bea to stay and then a handful of people voting like mad for Lisa.
It was obviously Pretty close but no one cares about Hira so wouldnt waste 35p on her, I for one was SO HAPPY When Hira had her name called:dance:

You get the correct answer regardless of how long or short,
and,
Bea owns Marcus in Bea-fashion - short, subtle, back-handed, quick but infuriating little poison darts.
Example:
Hangs with Marcus ever-so-girlfriendishly, he gets boasty. She asks what they think. Lets Freddy give his version,
Marcus "You know what I think.."
Bea interupts 'who gives a ****?'
..Marcus (thrown a tad).. "No.. you know what I was gonna say was.. "
[Bea ignores and walks away as something more important to do suddenly]
Marcus with stupid confused look on face.
Bea (just ever-so-slightly condescending) "oh.. yes Marcus I will come back and you can tell me what you think"
Walks off.
Oh just pure ownage. Just sheer owning him and its just so subtle and he doesn't even realize she just Effed his head a tiny bit.
Bea is pure evil and Marcus doesn't even come close to standing a chance with her.
She can do stuff like that to him 20 times a day lol!

Hira is a nice girl, it was a shame to see her leave.
It's obvious (to me) why she did go though, she hasn't been in the house long enough to build her character up, whereas the other new housemate (David & Bea) have provided much more entertainment over the last few weeks.
Whether that's for all the right/wrong reasons, it was clear that Hira's contribution was much weaker. IMO

Must admit it was a shock!
I wasnt displeased to see her go, indeed I have said 'get her out' several times in posts...
not because I didnt like her...I always said she was 'pretty, generous, nice etc'...but I had NO idea why she was there....
What baffles is ; WHERE were the Hira supporters?
they assured us SHE WAS OK to survive...........they said her odds to win were now 16/1............also when the ROW kicked off she was not there...I did wonder 'fix' by BB.....
who knows? Dont MOSLEMS watch BB or vote?
