Big Brother Rival Show

Anyone think it is going to need a rival show to keep it interesting?


It would need to be extremely similar to big brother but have significant differences...any ideas?

I think viewer interactivity would be good.:hello:

Im a celebrity, they more or less rip off bb every year. Im just waiting for a non celebrity contestant.

they should bring back Unan1mous, because that was like big brother, but very different.

There was Celebrity Love Island in 2005 and 6 complete with BB's very own Kate Lawler, they flopped up against BB. It'd be good to see how it did now though

Anyone remember 'the house' on chanel 5? was extremely like BB and had past BB house mates on it, including nasty nick and jade goody.

If it wasn't solely about people getting with each other, I think it could have survived.

theres a programme being filmed no called "power struggle" i was due to go on it but couldnt get time off work, sounds slightly simliar to bb..just not live

I remember a show on the BBC 'the prison' or something. Was a really good social experiment!

Wasn't the Daddy of all these reality programmes one that came from the US, were a load of dudes, lived in a house together?


One of the occupants was really obnoxious ( male) and the rest, as try as they might to bring him into line, he remained a pain in the ass for the rest of them.

It was a long, long,time ago- maybe 20 years or so.

I watch all Reality TV and the one that really stands out other than BB is I'm a Celebrity, but that isn't on when BB is.

How about putting 10-15 normal people without over the top personalities, who do vaguely represent the Uk population into a house then give them interesting and entertaining tasks and tortures, let them nominate who they would like to see thrown out, the bottom 2 or 3 get put up for the general public to vote on.

Oh and give the winner a prize at the end

I remember watching something briefly on channel 5 about 10 or so people having to live off rubbish or in a rubbish tip. Their first task was to build a hut/shelter I think.

I loved that show, and that Space Cadets thing on a year before or something.

I've suggested it in one of my threads that they should use that as a twist and make the HM's unanimously give 50K to someone.

Yeah it was really something different. I don't see why they wont bring it back? The mole was really good too and I think they had one where they got people try and escape from a fake prison! :thumbs:

I loved that too but sadly game play doesn't catch on in the UK

I quite liked Vanity Lair as well, that was a unique spin on the format

I liked Back to Reality on five as well, they should do another one of them
