Yeah, it seems like the BB producers have just given up on the whole thing and said "****** it, they wanna chat about nominations then let 'em chat about nominations." Or maybe they're just hoping it'll cause more trouble, which it almost certainly will, argument wise anyway.

10-08-2009, 12:11 PM
YES !!!! About time they can talk about it freely. Now this is going to be good, I love game players so we'll definitely see how they're going to react to this.

10-08-2009, 12:14 PM
yeah, perhaps BB realised it's pointless as most of them already do so anyway. Not quite sure of the merits of this rule anyway, let them do it.

Brad.
10-08-2009, 12:14 PM
this is all the work of marcus. For the first time in 10 yrs, they have had to back down to a HM. do they not remember that the show was a hit (in BB1) cos of nasty nick????

Anyway, for this kind of behaviour - i dont really want a bb11. if the producers are going to be extremely incompetent, why bother

Wow. I guess its like so many other aspects of this season - they just gave up and said 'ah fukk it' and they seemed to want to turn it into BBUSA after all.
Even worse - BBUSA Seasons 8 and 9.

What a joke.

This is going to be brilliant, I've always wanted them to do this. :cheer2:

It'll cause more arguments and game playing which will be very entertaining.

I don't think it'll be like BBUSA too much, it's only nominations discussion afterall.

It's going to be interesting to see what's going to happen with this. Let's just hope that entertaining housemates don't end up going up.

This is to rescue Bea - her chat those who notice "what Dave's about", with her fingers - quite obvious she would have been put up and gone out.

She's making the show at the moment so this protects the one real spark they have in there - it also creates a terribly macchiavellian dynamic now where she can flourish with great evil!

This should be an interesting week...! Has anyone ever played diplomacy, where you negotiate with the other players to support you in war? It's only when they read out their actual moves do you find out whether they've stitched you up or acted in good faith.

Negotiating voting patterns with untrustworthy partners can be an extremely interesting game to see played out.....

If this is true than it looks like total capitulation from Big Brother. Unless there is something else to it that we do not yet know.

Something's afoot... maybe they'll make them nominate in front of everyone. That'd be a hoot!

Could be amazing, as they could all start scheming. But more likely Markus and somebody else will say they want to be nominated and it will make nominations predictable.

There may be. I think BB could be testing them. Like those who really enjoy talking about nominations may be punished later on. Let's see who will resist to the temptation.

Great, now we have to put up with a USBB style show. If we wanted to watch that, we'd watch that. I'd prefer to watch a proper Big Brother - one where you don't talk noms. This is too Survivorish.

The_Long_Run
10-08-2009, 12:30 PM
This week, free to discuss and then broadcast nominations into the house AFTER evryone has nominated? See if people who have suggested that they are in alliances stick by them when in the supposed privacy of the DR!!! That could be explosive! Especially if people come out of DR and are allowed to talk about who they claim to have nominated.

Mwahhh ha ha ha ha !!!

KitCarson

Well, that's that then.

Lisa is now guaranteed a spot in the final. She'll rally the troops and get them to do her bidding, starting with Marcus v. Freddie, then Bea v. Freddie, then Siavash v. Freddie, and finally either Charlie or Sophie v. Freddie.

Could this show get any more predictable and boring?

Caramel77
10-08-2009, 12:47 PM
as they've said they can discuss noms past present and future, they should show them videos of their past nominations.... then David would at least know what Bea really thinks of him!!

It is up on the official site now; seems Roderigo isn't saying a word, but thers are .

I am guessing there will be a twist to this; BB won't allow this to happen without a reason. Not yet sure what the twist will be tho .

Didn't they do this a year or so ago; not for long, but for a short period of time ...

I hope that Bea finds out that the "friends" she has been running to are the ones who nominated her last week! lol

And I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope they make them nominate in front of each other! That would be brilliant tv!

Surely there must be something more to this.

I think it would be good if on Friday after the eviction they played all the housemates nominations into the house.

Cause if anyone had lied about who they were going to nominate it would be brilliant.

Or give someone a secret mission to tell people who they're going to nominate but then nominate two COMPLETELY different people. Then show the nominations live to the house on Friday as I said.

10-08-2009, 01:02 PM
BB has to out them all up for a vote to EVICT this week if the housemates are allowed to discuss nominations. Its the only fair thing for the viewer.

I don't have a problem with them speaking about past nominations but future nominations!!! It destroys one of the key elements of the show.

BB are getting really desperate - you can sense it.

Can BB ever recover again for a future year? It doesn't look like it from what I can see.

Wouldn't it be great if they put all housemates up for eviction EVERY WEEK until further notice? It kind of makes sense. Big brother lets them talk about present and future nominations, but makes all of their discussion worthless.

It depends on whether nominations fall in the middle of one of their frequent rows or not.

I wtached the video and its all about weird to me, i doubt after 10 years they would change the rules just like that, they are up to something, even David's face said it all, he thinks theres something up with it.

Also in the other article it says something about "Dont expect it" and "The HMs breaking the rules will now wish they kept stchum", so there must be something up their sleeve.

They're going to speak about them anyway so I suppose its better this way than them constantly being up for eviction because of it. Its going to be interesting to see who the game players are

As punishment I would have thought a better solution would be all HM's are up every week. They lose the right to nominate until further notice or have to perform a severe set of penalty tasks to get the right back. Or at least let them decide on a basic budget to discuss nom's or carry on as normal.

The public would vote for who they want to go out of all the HM's. It would be good TV to watch them all bricking it on the couch every Friday with no idea who is going. All gameplans would be out the window then!

Letting them discuss nominations just makes the past 9 seasons rules pointless. The producers obviously can't be bothered anymore as viewing figures continue to plummet. This won't fix the problem!

I absolutely agree. But I think that they might put them all up for eviction every week until further notice because BB is letting them discuss future nominations. The only reason they would let them do that is because it wouldn't be worth anything. Know what I mean?

There's got to be a twist with this, otherwise it's ridiculous imo.

It's blatantly obvious now that if noms go ahead as usual, Marcus and Freddie are going to be up, Lisa, David, Charlie, Sophie, Bea, they're all going to nominate the same way!

I don't like this at all.
