View Full Version : The 3 'rebels' can't entertain by personality, only by childish antics.
I am disgusted with the juvenile antics of Marcus, Halfwit and Siavash. If the only way they can 'entertain' is by doing things that affect the whole house because they 'don't give a ****' then they seriously need to grow up. Not one of them has the personality to make an impact on their own merit and character, so they have to posture and act the 'big bad boys'. What a joke! The 3 of them are like little kids playing at rebelling against Mummy or the school rules.
Marcus is the immature ringleader, Siavash thinks he's too cool for school, and Halfwit felt accepted and delighted to be 'part of the cool gang'. Take the rule breaking out of the equation and what do we have? 3 boring men with nothing to offer.
It may be fun for them (actually I don't even think it is - I think it is desperation to be seen as 'exciting') and it may be fun for viewers to watch, but you really can't disregard the feelings of others like that without consequences. They are spoiling the experience for the other HM's and they will ultimately suffer for that.
Halfwit is all over the place at the moment, and Marcus and Bea are influencing him and playing with his mind big time. Bea is really messing with him and I can't believe how cruel she is being. Much as I dislike him, and believe he has played the mind - game with Lisa etc, I suspect he is in turmoil right now.
It probably won't last, but I feel sympathy for Halfwit tonight. I'm not going soft and I'm not forgetting his scheming and his arrogance, but he must be hurting and feeling like hell.

Yes, pathetic little men, and Halfwit's martyr act and innocent act was utterly obliterated by Bea tonight.
He disrespected BB, lost the HMs food and disrespected them, didn't apologise, bullied Bea, over analysed, then got utterly owned by Bea. So owned infact, that he was startled, and left, with EVERYONE agreeing with her.
Even Freddie agreed and had to apologise for being such a douchebag. I AM SO GLAD Big Brother brought Bea on the show to expose Halfwit.
AWESOME!

You know why I feel they decided to act like douches? Well, they wanted to gain public support again after they were exposed last night as a couple of prats- thats why Marcus and Freddie slept in this morning.... didn't want to face the music. Siavash just went along with it for exposure.
I think they are bored off their tits, last season deffinetly had more tasks and activities....

well i see your point, but it did provide a story arc for tonights show did it not?therefore they served their purpose in entertaining,we'r not talking about david making a devine supper on here are we?we're talking about the "antics" of those three..
while i agree it may have been a tad out of character for freddie,or perhaps even a little childish, there is still nothing wrong with a rule break now and then,i really do not enjoy using this cliche but it works so .... rules are made to be broken..
it may also have been unfair that the other house mates were punished, but it really is not that big of a deal believe.. sophie broke a rule yesterday,so did bea,so it happens from time to time.. i do see the point your making but it just seems you expect them all to behave prim and proper, have you not seen previos series? lol victor/the other guy fighting with nadia and whats her face? or even dennis spitting at mohamed the other year?

Nah, I know it wasn't a criminal act but I think the accusations of gameplaying and taking everything too seriously that were levelled at Freddie last night may have effected him, and Marcus' fag holding escapade could have rattled him a little.
Marcus is prone to the odd bout of senselessness when he's been accused of something or is condemned over his behaviour, and it wouldn't surprise me if this act of obstinacy is a kinda expulsion of frustration for him.
I'm not talking about conspiracy theories here; just mentioning a theory I have on their behaviour.... cause and effect kinda scenario.

Oh lord no, I don't want 'prim and proper' as you put it! But if you're going to break the rules, don't do it like schoolboys, and don't have the vocabulary of schoolboys... example....."****' you dimwit (from Marcus) ****' you you idiot' (Halfwit). So they slept too long and 'broke' out of a jail that wasn't even locked! It was all so, well, CHILDISH.
And WIMPY.
Worst of all, when they all were punished by taking away ALL the HM's luxury food budget, what did they do? Rebel? NOPE. Did the 3 rebels go into the DR and stage a protest about the unfairness to the other HM's ? NOPE. Did they stage a protest on the roof? NOPE.
They accepted the consequences which affected ALL of the HM's. That's your big bad rebels for you. Selfish, self - centred and only rebels that go so far, and then back off with not a thought about anyone but themselves.
Yep. Big characters my foot.

i dont recall calling anyone a rebel?out of those three i only consider marcus a rebel,as he has gone against the grain on a few occasions, however the point is they felt like not listening to big brother so thats what they did,the vocabulary used is irrelevant.. if they said "excuse me big brother, would you be so kind as to shuve ones rules up ones arse" that wouldn't have had the same ring to it..
and while it seemed a little over dramatic,i can see why being locked up in the sun may cause some discomfort, and they didn't feel that was fair..
also as a final point, while i may not agree with marcus/freddie some of the time, they have entertained with their personalities so that does render your post void.. rightly or wrongly, they are entertaining at times.. perhaps not to you,but to some they are big characters..

I'm not going soft and I'm not forgetting his scheming and his arrogance, but he must be hurting and feeling like hell.
well i see your point, but it did provide a story arc for tonights show did it not?therefore they served their purpose in entertaining,we'r not talking about david making a devine supper on here are we?we're talking about the "antics" of those three..
while i agree it may have been a tad out of character for freddie,or perhaps even a little childish, there is still nothing wrong with a rule break now and then,i really do not enjoy using this cliche but it works so .... rules are made to be broken..
it may also have been unfair that the other house mates were punished, but it really is not that big of a deal believe.. sophie broke a rule yesterday,so did bea,so it happens from time to time.. i do see the point your making but it just seems you expect them all to behave prim and proper, have you not seen previos series? lol victor/the other guy fighting with nadia and whats her face? or even dennis spitting at mohamed the other year?
**** happens, what happened tonight was not that bad... But Dennis was kicked out! and so should Marcus.

Its boredom that makes them do it. I totally agree.
FGS, that spinning task in yesterdays highlights was lame even by BB10 standards.
They simply need little individual tasks each day to win little things and give themselves a sense of purpose. Even Marcus said they need more little tasks just not ones that are over in 2 minutes. Just give them things to win access to activities, games, sports, things they can use for a bit that day and then they will wait to see what they will get the next time.

well yes i have seen others have an issue with them, but some have an issue with me.. i myself see ahmedfan as passionate and he does speak alot of sense, perhaps not something i always agree with but he doesnt usually just spout off some random profanity to get his point across..
an as i have said to others, this is a forum,i dont see why anyone would have a problem as this is not that relevant to my life,so if he grates on you for whatever reason, just steer clear of him, there ends the problem really..

The three of them being disrespectful to BB is not then followed by them being unthinking towards the rest of the houseemate.
Marcus has caved in before when threatened with punishment for the rest of the house because of him.
Also Siavash and Freddy do care about the others.
Yes at the moment it is us and them scenario.
But they were very entertaining tonight. While the others moaned.
I loved seeing them make a stand.
The other houseemate should cop on to the fact that this is a gameshow and they are there to entertain.

Well, the other HM's were sunbathing in the sun....
And my point was that the 'rebelling' and not following it through afterwards by rebelling when ALL the HM's were punished (which would have been fantastic TV and showed guts) revealed to me that they were not the big characters that they portray themselves as.
I was referring to 'the rebelling' - not how entertaining they are apart from that - but to me, they are no more or less entertaining than anyone else.

well the other house mates could go indoors at their leisure, and as freddie said he wasnt going to get enough hydration as the toilet breaks were few and far between..
yeah perhaps they could have followed through, but having been punished do you think that would be wize for them to then rebel some more?in the first instance they figure they would only get some jail time or individual punishments, when they saw they had their luxery budget taken,i suppose they figured rebelling some more would only rile big brother in to punishing the whole house again..
as gypsy goth has said,on occasion marcus has backed down when bb threatened to punish the house,so he's not a complete numb nut,i guess they just wanted to see how far they could push the boundaries..
well while i dont like marcus,he is a tad more entertaining then say david,or sophie imo

my point was more that dennis had spat at another housemate, had marcus done something even remotely similar he would be out on his arse, but simply breaking a few rules hardly constitutes kicking the guy out,and if we kicked out every house mate we found distasteful we would be left with hira and saffia for 9 weeks.. marcus may be repulsive, but he still has a right to be in there..
i dont much like marcus myself, however he is not mentally unstable,he simply has his brain wired up diffrently, does things diffrently to you and i.anyone could do harm to anyone in that house given the right buttons were pushed,we all have breaking limits.. so its not so much about goodies and baddies,we all have our share of good and bad qualities, marcus is no diffrent.

IT'S NOT REAL LIFE, IT'S A GAME SHOW. It's for entertainment people, getting people talking. If they served no purpose like Jet says, WE WOULD NOT BE TALKING ABOUT THEM LIKE WE ARE.
Who will people remember, Hira or Marcus? You decide.

I said I hadnt noticed many posts like that and whenever I have I have pulled the posters up on them. As I have continued to do since then, also the ones calling her a dole scammer.
We came to an agreement about it, you accepted my views about lisa, and then the next day you came on every thread i posted on ab out lisa and said something along the lines of 'where there is lisa hate you are there' Which wasnt the slightest bit true, you then proceeded to post more crap about EVERYONE who doesnt like lisa having something about butch lesbians, which if I am correct, I am included in these people who dont like lisa...you said noone had even given you a valid reason for disliking her, who are you to say if a reason is valid or not?And I dont care if you get u2ud when I mention you in the slightest.
You decide.
Ummm...where did I say they served no purpose?

Thanks tintedshadow for allowing people to have their own opinions without judgement. Some people call certain posters (like myself) out by name because they have a vendetta against them for not liking their particular favourite.
It's not cool, so thanks for diplomatic yet firm response to that. It is very much appreciated on my part.
Jet you know its not that. its the fact that you repeatedly called me homophobic for not liking lisa, even though i gave you a list as long as my arm of reasons that did not include her sexuality, which you deemed 'invalid'. So if you can call my reasons for disliking someone invalid and try to make out i am prejudiced, then i think I am within my rights to do the same back. Dont you?
Dont try to twist things.
Vicky, I have had you on ignore since the night you lathered into me with all sorts of accusations (much like the ones you are leveling at me tonight), but I have been alerted to your posts this evening and I have to say that at no time did I accuse you of homophobia. Rather, I pointed out the hateful homophobic posts about Lisa that were prevalent on this forum and you disagreed vigorously with me that any such posts existed. That was our disagreement, between 2 people! But you choose to continue a vendetta against me and you choose to keep bringing up my name and poking at me....I do get private messages when you do that...I have ignored you completely and left you alone. Why can't you leave ME alone?
I said I hadnt noticed many posts like that and whenever I have I have pulled the posters up on them. As I have continued to do since then, also the ones calling her a dole scammer.
We came to an agreement about it, you accepted my views about lisa, and then the next day you came on every thread i posted on ab out lisa and said something along the lines of 'where there is lisa hate you are there' Which wasnt the slightest bit true, you then proceeded to post more cr*p about EVERYONE who doesnt like lisa having something about butch lesbians, which if I am correct, I am included in these people who dont like lisa...you said noone had even given you a valid reason for disliking her, who are you to say if a reason is valid or not?And I dont care if you get u2ud when I mention you in the slightest. You singled ME out, so what is the harm in me doing the same?
Yes, I accepted your views about Lisa. Then the next day I found you posting your dislike of her on every single thread about her, over and over, and it was so over the top! I DID NOT at any time single anyone out by name as hating on Lisa for being a butch lesbian, but on that particular day the posts about her were SO vile and hateful and it seemed to me you were jumping on the 'hate' bandwagon - and reveling in it. You are INCORRECT in thinking I latched on to you as homophobic - I AT NO TIME THOUGHT YOU WERE AND I STILL DON'T - but you used that as a tool against me - and you are still doing it. If you thought my posts defending Lisa against vile, homophobic hatred were directed at you then that is not my problem.
I put you on ignore for a reason - I did not want to engage in mind games or even continue with on - going misunderstandings. I haven't once responded to you even though you have brought my name up on several occasions, until tonight.
Leave me alone please, and don't mention my name again. Thanks.

It was not on every thread about lisa at all. Plus I have never ever made a hate post about her. I jumped on no bandwagon as I have disliked her from the start, before many other began hating her. When have I EVER used it as a tool against you? The only time I have spoken to you since then is now. So get your facts right. Put me back on ignore but i will continue to reply to your threads if i have an opinion on them, as this is a public forum and you cant tell me where i can and cannot post, as much as you seem to think you can.
Plus I dont actually recall any other times I have mentioned you, and that is in all honesty. I did the other day, because i made a post about someone voting 100 times the fave poll for lisa, I said to james that it was either you or ahmedfan and it turned out i was correct. Later on I made a thread about it, someone else said it must have been you or ahmed, and I told them, correctly that it was not you.
Im not playing mind games, it is you that is trying to twist everything I say/said/have done in the past. You DID accuse me many times of being homophobic, during our initial debate. I even told you I have lesbian friends yet you still told me I was prejudiced. Which is BS to be honest. You may not have said it directly to me, but read back through the thread where we were arguing, you will see what I mean.

Oh really, this is just getting tiresome. I strongly believe I am right, and you strongly believe you are right. I believe everything I said about our situation is correct, and you believe everything you said is correct. Who cares but us? I doubt anyone on this thread is following our debate with interest.
Lets just agree to disagree and leave it at that. Otherwise we will be going around in circles.
Edited to add: setanta, I must have read your mind!

Yeah, you'll lay it to rest after stirring the turd.
And don't try patronizing me.
You like the 'big rebels' in the house - you think they rock like 'cool ****' - yet someone like Ahmed who is individualistic and different isn't 'normal'????
Come on, Vicky....:conf:

one person's "childish antics" is another's entertainment - what about charlie and rodrigo - isn't that just as childish.
there are some people in that house who are some of the most boring HMs I have ever seen. and what is even more galling is that they will end up in the final.
as for ahmedfan - it looks to me like the guy has held a grudge against Freddie ever since he evicted his narcisisstic passive aggressive favourite Sree. His vindictive posts expose that clearly.
And isn't it ironic to accuse freddie of childish antics when sree was every bit as childish if not more.
but there you go - that's hypocrisy for you
