View Full Version : My sister watched BB for the first time in two weeks tonight...

& thought that Freddie was being pathetic and needed to grow some.
Bear in mind she only saw tonight's program and hasn't witnessed Bea's antics due to being abroad.
Looks like his attempt at sympathy was a bit TOO staged.
It seemed very pathetic and fake.

It was blatently staged. I don't like Marcus but reallt hope he survives this week. Halfwit has gone for the sympathy vote far too much.

Your sister has no empathy.
Along with a few people on here.
Hope none of you ever suffer panic attacks.
Then again no, if I was as nasty as you lot, I should hope that you DO suffer them, and that people laugh at you, and find you pathetic, when the boot is on the other foot.

I don't think it was. Attention-seeking, yes. But it's obviously done him no favours.
If it is a gameplan then it's a bad one.

I have anxiety thank you very much, and do suffer attacks on a regular basis. People seem to be getting 'upset' mixed up with 'panic attacks'.
Freddie didn't seem to be suffocating, light-headed, have chest pain, feel nauseaus, and have numb limbs to me.

No way was this fake, and I am deeply saddened to think FM could think so. Yes, an outsider watching for the first time could think so, but this is a man who has been cracking for days, and attacked by Bea, a woman he really liked and respected, saying the cruelest words he could ever hear. Negative, etc, and then ridiculing his speech. He was on the point of a breakdown.
Shame on you who are being so cynical, I thought we could at least put aside our differences on who we want to win over a moment when someone was in genuine trouble. It was distressing to watch, whoever this had been I would say the same, and I thought any human with a soul and heart would too. Ultimately the show is a game and we have fun on the forums, but when someone's mental, physical and emotional health is cracking like that we should recognise it. He WAS having a panic attack.
How very, very disappointing

He didn't 'PANIC' at all, which is what a panic attack is. When you over-stress and you get symptoms of extreme discomfort which culminate in your mind over-reacting and making you break out into extreme panic (e.g. "I think I'm going to die etc).

I'm not even a Freddie fan, but even I could see it wasnt sympathy. Bea was being a ****, feeding him to the wolves as he would say.

I watched it again and although I have no problem calling Bea a vile and loathsome figure, I do believe that Freddie did exaggerate. I'm not defending Bea whatsoever- the girl makes my blood boil and I resent the fact that Big Brother failed to put her up for eviction- but I just just think this is kind of a reaction to the game and how he's been effected by these developments.
His feelings of discomfort have more to do with the position he now senses that he's been placed in. Bea changing allegiance and positioning herself within Lisa's pack is the ultimate betrayal for Freddie and we all know how paranoid he is with regard to Team Nasty. For some weeks he's been in the ascendency and now suddenly he's under attack again, not really knowing where to duck for cover. That's the real issue for me here.
I may be wrong but sure it's what I think has ultimately led to his little moment of panic and self pity.

Like a lot of people on here I know about panic attacks, how they start, what they feel like and how to cope with them. The only person who knows what it's like at the time is the person suffering it. If you don't believe him fine but I don't think you or anybody else should try and diagnose through a TV screen. I doubt it's the first time he's felt like that and could recognise the signs

I AM A SUFFERER! Yes, me the OP. He was a bit breathless from over-crying, like when you get really upset and gag when you talk. Panic attack - no.

It would be hard for her to come to a decision (without being informed) then if she had not watched Bea's treatment of Freddie and also of other housemates that stand in her way.
I have found it really upsetting watching Bea target people and bully them in such a subtle way. Tonights viewing was very distressing.
I like both Marcus and Freddie and don't want to see any of them go. :conf2:

He clearly suffers from panic attacks, no matter if the matter is silly, he does have them, E.G. when he was sweating and getting worked up when talking to bea in the bathroom.

Why did they put Bea in? Entertainment value perhaps but she is terrible with this sort of thing and i know it's a gameshow but tonight wasn't a game for me. It went beyond a game.

So because you have them that automatically gives you the right to judge when people are or aren't having them? Because I didn't know that was the case. I suffer from panic attacks too, linked to clinical depression, and therefore my opinion as an expert (since this is apparently how it works) is yes, he did have one. A mild one maybe, but still a panic/anxiety attack nonetheless.

Marcus even commented that Freddie has had them before on tonights show, BB choose not to show them then, I wonder why they did now? And Freddies Panic attack was just like the way my OH gets them. Freddie was struggling but controling it quite well, even the OH commented on it and said that Freddie must have be shown control techniques like him. Not everyones panic attacks are the same.

Thank you for that advice . Seriously, watching it back then ok maybe he had one, A SLIGHT ONE.
But he did say he was having one when showing no sign of distress. THAT's what annoyed me. It's not nice when a life controlling disorder gets used so freely.

Can I ask how watching him through the TV you saw if he was getting lightheadedness, chest pain, feeling nauseous or have numb limbs?! He was lying down under his duvet... plus you wouldnt know it he had numb limbs or felt sick or lightheaded anyway....what a ridiculous answer that is.
And he was having trouble breathing, that much was obvous, not everyone 'suffocates' whilst having a panic attack.

The bottom line is what Bea did was not nice at all. Let's forget our support to any HM left in. I don't care about that.
Let's focus on what happened regarding this situation with Bea and Freddie. Bea completely and mentally destroyed him on national television.
Freddie or Marcus are going to get evicted. If Freddie did go it will do him no good at all. For me, he would be best to walk with his head held high and keep his dignity in tact.

I hope Freddie can cope and doesn't leave. He'll have to decide that for himself but if he can work through it he'll get stronger. Probably a lot of us know that if you can get through the problem you have a victory over it, the alternative can be ending up living in the corner of the room.
I don't want to score points but every time he survives he grow confidence not cockiness!

I do believe Freddie was having a slight panic attack but I think he brought it on himself worring about his position in the house and that team Lisa was going to put him up. But it is not a fuuny thing nomatter what brought it on, But I dont think people should vote out of sympathy unless Bea was also up.
