View Full Version : Freddie My Observations.........about Freddie
Dymps

Coming from the experience of having two children with Dyslexia my observations are that its possible that he may have a Learning Disorder.( one of which would be Aspergers)
There is a perception that people with Dyslexia or other underlying learning disorders are slow, but in fact they can be on the higher levels of intelligence, very creative but have weak social skills.. And each person displays it differently.
I find it very disturbing watching how Freddie is being treated as I have seen my children been bullied and unable to deal with it.
You may not agree with me, but I feel its important to say as I am aware of how such a person may be misunderstood.
When I watched it with my child last night we both shed a tear because we've been there.

Big Brother has doctors on the case.
They cannot afford to take risks.
My belief is that if they really thought that Freddy had some kind of personality / bipolar disorder then they would either not have let him in, or would have bailed him out by now.

It has been suggested here on the Forum and Aspergers mentioned too.
Its just my observations, based on what I have learned from my children and being involved voluntarily with other children with various Learning Difficulties.
I'm just making the comment as I feel obliged too. Not really looking for anyone to agree with me.

Dyslexia is NOT a personality disorder!
It is a learning disorder - mainly related to reading and spelling!
Bi-polar is a depressive disorder!
They are all entirely different!!
People really should get their facts right before that make comments about such things!!

Also I think freddie needs time to think about situations to mull it over in his head and then he comes up with an answer..great if you have patient people but not so great when you have people that are impatient and get frustrated..sadly he has chosen to try and sort things out with Bea who does not posses a lot of patients.

THAT is exactly it,freddie likes to think about situations insted of wading in there feet first like most people do,it's not a bad trait but could be annoying sometimes for the impatient:kiss:

Dymps...yes we knew about Freddie's dyslexia from the beginning but I dont think it has been WHY he was the outcast.......CLASS was always the issue..The Tory toff with a plum in his mouth...thats why lisa took against him...I know gay people here in the North (Im further North than lisa) who cannot entertain The shires Brigade...it wouldnt matter how hard Freddie had tried with Lisa...she made it clear in the first weeks she could have nothing to do with him in normal life.......solely based on class
In spite of his dyslexia (and asthma) Freddie has done amazingly...going to Oxford University after all..........where he was a controversial figure........
I find him the most REAL person in a reality tV show ever...he is the opposite of all the PLASTIC people we see in todays botoxed celebrity culture where everyone is plastically enhanced like Sophie........and wants to be either Chantelle or peter andre.
Whether he goes or stays this week, I feel ENORMOUSLY GRATEFUL to the producers of BB10 for letting us gett o know him a little for these 10 weeks. I would hardly have watched this series without him.

Why is it that people always try to justify eccentricity with disability? Freddie is just an eccentric; most of his weird mannerisms don't come from a disability they come from him and there's nothing wrong with that.

So when Lisa was having an argument with Freddie and he was goading her, knowing that he was winding her up. Towards the end of the argument Freddie announced that Lisa's shouting had made him cum !
Where does that fit in with Freddie is misunderstood then ?
Or is that normal behaviour ?
I think what winds some viewer up is that Freddie has spent 9 weeks bragging about his ability to predict who will be the next evict and how he believes himself to be a great mediator.
IMO Freddie's behaviour has been building up each week just as his confidence has grown and I believe he has become too large for his own boots.
Confidence is a great asset in people, but used wrongly and it can be the undoing of some:wavey:

Freddie never had a relationship with Lisa after the first eviction when she started on him out of the blue, telling him not to be cocky, (it wasn't her place to tell anybody how to act and they had only just met), over the next weeks she tried to isolate him by telling people not to talk to him. Her behaviour got worse and worse until she was given warnings. To her dismay, Freddie survived and his argument with her was payback after weeks of aggression from her.
Freddie misguidedly trusted Bea and clearly had deeper feelings too. Having met two such unpleasant people as Lisa and Bea, and been the victim of their appalling behaviour, it’s not surprising that he broke down the other night.

What I was saying is that for a supposedly inteligent guy, his remark about having an orgasm over Lisa's argument, wasn't the bst form of attack. I lost any respect I had with Freddie at that point. to be honest hat argment was between Lisa & Bea, Freddie joined in because of his friendship with Bea at that time.
That's not the first time this attention seeker has joined in an argument that didn't include him

I was thinking about when he was angry with David for voting for Bea (showing misguided loyalty for Bea as it turned out) and Lisa turned up and then told Freddie to 'go and have a w*nk'. Nobody came out of the argument particularly well but I can understand how Freddie felt after weeks of Lisa's aggression.

Yes I agree totally, it's just how Freddie delt with it that I lost respect. He broght himself down to Lisa' level, from what I had seen of Freddie I had expected a much stronger inelligent argument

All I can add to this post (since I started it) is that Dyslexia is not all about Reading and Writing.
There are different types of Learning Disorder, and each child suffers differently.
Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Hearing, Sight, Aspergers, Autism.
I am familiar with Dyslexia and Dyspraxia and the latter does effect the personality and social skills, (similar to the common term "Eccentric or odd".) Dyspraxia is also know as "the clumsy child syndrome".
These people process information differently and it takes them longer to respond, you can see this with Freddie all the time.
