BB has kind of turned into the Pot Noodle of TV, often people knock it before trying it and brand it as chav television.
And it has to be said, many people in the crowds and watching at home aren't exactly elegant,
Although I think BB is an interesting social expriement and good to watch sometimes I'm ashamed to admit to people that I watch it nearly every night.
How about you?

Yes - I quite often feel that way too!
A lot depends on who I am talking to at the time!
But because it has gone downhill so much - and is critisized a lot - I do often feel embarrassed!

I get annoyed with people who don't watch BB and use that like a badge of office like it makes them somehow superior. They're usually pretentious, Daily Mail reading bores. What's it to anyone else what I watch?

I admit to watching: and write a blog about it too!
Watched from series 1; tho not liking this year's as much as some others.
Having said that, have missed a few viewings this year: at the start, and then when Bea and dave etc went in, so that hasn't helped

I don't feel embarassed admitting I watch BB...France because it's hugely popular over there.
I like keeping BB UK, USA and Australia as my little dirty secret. It's my guilty pleasure.

I have been told people that watch BB are sad,so i don't say anything,LOL,LOL,but what is sad that people get so venomous and shout 'hate' at the drop of a hat, there is already enough hate in the world without people that watch BB spoutuing it about people they know NOTHING about.I think it's because the viewing audience get so het up over it that it has now become a laughing stock TV,It's like the old Roman arena days when people are thrown to the lions.

Truth be told, yes, I am extremely embarrassed about it. None of my friends watch it anymore and so I never raise the subject.
I've rarely watched it in a sense of supporting a winner, but more been fascinated by the psychological side and the group dynamics. However, over the years the housemates have by and large become more stereotypical and formulaic, with people adopting personas they think will bring them success (Charlie anyone?) and this year I have found myself very much aligned to Team DGAF as they (along with Angel) were the only true, individual, or indeed, interesting characters in there. A win for them would be a welcome blow against chavdom and wagdom.

 spot on.
I thought a lot of the hate here was kind of good natured rivalry, even if some of it was a little OTT, and that none of us could truly hate someone to that extent in a game show. A bit like football fans chanting teasing songs to each other. But last night, after the highlights with Freddie's panic attack/breakdown, I realised that one or two people were indeed genuine in their hate, cruelty and inhumanity and not looking too nice at all in their posts. It was a depressing eye-opener for me and the ignore button has become my new friend
No because in Canada no one knows about BBUK.
