I definitely agree on the Psycho remake - saw it the other night and seriously? Vince Vaughn as the main character? Jesus wept.

I agree with you there. A real case of "whhyyy"?

Favourite remake of recent years for me has to be 3:10 to Yuma. That was a class film.

I'm not a fan of the King Kong remake, it was overly long and self indulgent. I never knew Scarface was a remake but I still think it's a sucky overrated film.

The best remakes I've seen are Dawn of the Dead, The Thing, and a third one I can't remember.

Forgot about the Thing.... bloody marvellous film. Romero's legacy and value in film has always been lost on me. Don't get me wrong; I enjoy all the films, but I just don't love them.

King Kong was great entertainment, if a tad excessive.

I'm told last year's The Day The Earth Stood Still was awful.

However, I prefer the modern Freaky Friday to the older one. I also quite liked the King Kong remake.

As for undecided ones, the first that comes to mind is The Parent Trap.

I'm not actually a fan of his, I think his films tend to be a bit dated these days and have lost a lot of their value to time. Zack Snyder did Dawn of the Dead marvellously though.

Ah, it's just his basic concept has been done to death but yeah, the remake wasn't so bad.
