I sussed out Bea's tactic

Bea has a false self image that she has built around herself and deep down she knows it.

In order to maintain this inflated and false image (devil may care, confident etc) she has a tactic to use when she is called on it, in an argument where someone exposes her.


The tactic is to raise her emotional state to that of The Victim, to cry, to call her exposer a Bully, to flee and seek solace from someone who maintains her delusion. She is afraid of Marcus, Freddie and Siavash precisely because they have also sussed this.
