I don't know about them dipping the sound, cymru - but I was extremely surprised when Big Brother supplied tobacco and papers to Spencer.

They certainly made no concessions last year when Bubble and Amma ran out of cigarettes - they just had to do without until their shopping arrived.

I'm sure BB gave Spencer tobacco because they knew he would either walk out or create chaos in the house if he ran out.

Either that or he would rub his smelly athlete's foot infested tootsies into everyone's faces until he got tobacco!!!!!!!

Now nobody could cope with that one!!!!

Think I remember him saying to bb how do you expect me to just stop over here in the poor side, when I smoke million's a day. They gave him chewing gum but that didnt work. Maybe they thought they'd be had up on a charge or cruelty or something. After all since when does's bb become a pack in smoking programme.

EWWWW! How could you, Janette - you've put me right off my supper.

Steve - I know BB is not a 'give up smoking' programme, but all the housemates signed up to do the programme, whatever the consequences. As a smoker  I know it wouldn't have been easy for Spencer, but it wasn't easy last year for Bubble and Amma.

well bubble nearly went nuts last year and they flatley refused to help him at all....big brother is suposed to be harder this year ......not kiss butt to spencer time they could at least have given him a task to do for it least it would have looked fair

Yea Kaz, but Bubble and Amma, didn't have the prospect of spending the next 6 week's on a poor side of the house. They knew there was a chance with the next shopping budget, on the poor side their was no chance, untill bb saw some sense.

I think those on the poor side are suffering enough - bars, chick peas and lentils. It was the least BB could do, especially as there was no chance of buying any cigs cos they've got no shopping budget.

I wasn't. As has been said, Bubble and Amma had the next shopping budget, Spencer didn't. I have seen friends trying to give up, and I know it sounds stupid, but it was extremely hard for them, and they went through awful mood swings and sometimes just werent the same people. he didn't ask for hoards of tobacco, just some to keep him going, and i reckon the least they could do was oblige.

They gave the ciggies to Spencer because they know he'll nick them from the rich side if they don't.

Spencer is the only rebel there, and the survival of the house may depend on him. That's why he must stay!

I totally agree with Cymru, I do think giving him something to do to earn the tabacco and papers would have been seen as being more fair than just handing them over like they did, however also in fairness, he had no other option ie from a shopping budget ,so I suppose that in itself was a factor in BB relenting like they did. One more thing too...Spencer was not given a fair chance at the basketball task for two reasons...Big Bro's screw up and Sandy cheating, so I suppose really... Spencer did deserve to be given what he needed....and I mean needed, after all smoking is a habit, and must be extremely difficult to stop.

Why Oh Why couldn't Ch4 have let us in on the three week Bars/split exercise BEFORE it spoilt it for us. All that anger and betrail I felt could have been prevented.

I feel let down and used by the Team.:colour:

Thank heaven its getting back to what we know and love...........:colour:

Yeah, but not many people liked Big Brother 3 before the bars went up anyway so Im wondering if its gonna make such a difference to peoples opinions. It wont change my opinion - Ill luv BB either way!!! (more so with the bars down though:laugh:)

I'm going to catagorically hate it, as they ruined it with the bars, evicted Alison and now they'll evict spencer, all in favour of Alex! (Do I win the most whingy person in the world crown??)

I'm not enjoying this as much as BB2, but i was starting to like it - now i can't be bothered, because what I'm seeing isn't really what's happening.

Yeah, and i'm throwing a tantrum! ;o)

No, it's not even that, it's that him and Kate (and possibly Jonny) are the ONLY ones I like - last year all of them had an effect on me, this year I don't care.

So, to be honest, I'm not fussed on watching that much - I'll watch oif I'm in, but where I would tape it if going out, I wouldn't any more, because it is very much missable. That make sense?

Splodge - that was the word I was looking for!

I'm off to watch Friends....la di da!

Yeah sorry Honey, we have a problem with the board at the mo and it won't allow anyone to edit or delete posts. We're working on it but it's proving more difficult than we first thought. :bawling:

Hopefully all will be well soon though.

No problem Lee....these things happen! :spin2: It does make you more careful about spelling etc. before posting something up though, although obviously it doesn't always work in my case...
