What does this bookies termanology mean?

if freddy is shortening odds does that mean he's LESS likely to go?

no - shortening in this context means the gambling community is becoming slightly more convinced he could be evicted than they had thought previously

if he's drifting he's becoming less likely!

i think the dark horse is going to prevail he is becoming more and more liked he has a definite chance of staying this friday i dont want either of them to go because they're both my favourites but if one has to go it's freddy!!:dance2:

It's a comparative term - it means that the gambling community think he has slightly more chance of being evicted than they thought previously.

Marcus is still heavily the favourite to be evicted, but the odds reflect that people are a little less sure about that now.

It's a mixed bag at the moment - in reality what is happening is that the market is reaching an equilibrium point with all the different companies moving to almost exactly the same odds
