I've got a theory about why Charlie hates Freddie

He appears as though sees Freddie as an obstacle to winning, and wants to take him down. I found his repeating Freddie's comment to Bea last night sad, and disgusting.

Also, Charlie is very divisive.

Charlie isn't bright enough to make his own decision on where he stands and why. Lisa programmed Charlie by picking on Freddie in the first few weeks and Charlie doesn't have the synapse capacity to change his mind more than once a year.

If you watch Charlie, he flits from one group to another and grasses on anyone he can to win favour. He is insecure and immature. He has a need to see conflict, telling Noirin that Team Marcus had been in the diary room amongst many other examples, and sits on the fringe of both sides during the argument. I think this makes him feel accepted and powerful that he can cause the issue and almost mediate it.

Charlie does not deserve to win.

It often seems like Charlie is simply repeating what Lisa has said verbatim, just he says it a couple of weeks afterwards. My guess is that it takes that long to filter through his tiny brain.
