I can understand fine coming from the North East and every country or county been to have been understood,.

Go to Northern Ireland on regular basis to see family and none of them got a problem with our dialect either thank you very much

Yes, I meant to say this too. He does have a blubbering way (perfect description) and so fast. I can make out what he says but it does take concentration with him, and I have never had this problem with understanding geordies generally.
