Surviving evictions against the likes of Sophia, Sree and Kris, some of the most odious housemates in BB history is hardly anything to be proud of or proof that you're liked.

Once again:
A huge reason why Freddy was NOT being evicted was to deliberately keep an annoying character in there to hassle the 'models block'.
NOT because everyone loved Freddy.

This was FREQUENTLY discussed, pointed out, joked about on the forums, BBLB, BM about how it was like a great 'social prank' to deliberately keep in there as a 'wind up' and even a sort of 'protest vote'.

He won to spite Kris and Karly and Co and NOT because 'everyone so loved Freddy'.

Once that had served its purpose (deliberately keeping an annoying HM in) then he just became annoying.
Then arrogant.
Then a stupid little annoying shlt

He would have been booed by the crowd if that was so, people did like him, nice guy, genuine and a positive person, then Bea comes in and wrecks his chance of winning.

I didnt want to keep him in just to see the reactions of the others, i genuinley liked him as a person.

It doesn't mean Marcus has MORE fans it means people probably thought Freddie was safe and not so many voted.I didn't vote either,I liked Freddie and Marcus, plus I said I would never vote in BB again after the Nikki Graham thing, and i never have since.Kudos to Marcus fans you picked up that phone and did what you had to.

Yep, Cairon was 5th/6th fave to win at the point before getting evicted(thats good considering at that time there were 14 people in the house), and Angel was 2nd fave to win, just behind Freddie. Angel was loved by everyone i spoke to, but they prefered Freddie. Everyone up aggainst Freddie went with over 73% of the vote.(Cairon got 73%), all the others got 80%+

That wasn't because he was loved by the public. People felt sorry for him when he was getting humiliated by Kris pointing out his negative qualities every 5 seconds (patronising and arrogant being the significant 2)

Although most of the things Kris said were true, it was very uncomfortable to watch and I really felt for Freddie. He'll live and he'll learn from his faults and become a more loving person for it.

Fred got the best reception from BB crowd this series, most of the boos were coming from over the fence, not from the crowd, made up of people ejected from the audiance and general chavs.

Freddy did a good interview and was interesting on BBBM. The audiance there did not give him a really hard time.

Evidence shows that hes at least fairly liked by the public. Besides which everyone on this forum is a member of the public and not some weird aline from the planet internet. Why do you make a distinction?

I simply cannot understand why Freddie continues to be the source of such passion amongst his haters, even after the eviction they so desired. Puzzling. I'm sure pyschologists would have a lot to say on the matter

Freddie was liked, in the public and not just online, obviously not enough to keep him in but it has hardly a landslide eviction either.

Most of the people that felt sorry for him grew to like him though. He's the talk around the forum... well looks like Bea is now.

You cant say that surviving 6 evictions was all down to people feeling sorry for him, he was a legendary HM, he provided us with great moments.
Freddie would still be in there if the Bea and Marcus thing didnt happen for sure.

Im not one of those people, I liked both of them but was a bigger Freddie fan and now im actually supporting Siavash and Marcus for the win.

I think most Freddie fans are quite happy that he went over a friend of his and someone he was close to rather than Bea/Charlie/David/Lisa= People Freddie doesnt get on with.

Um, if that was the case Freddie wouldn't have survived the first 7 evictions. He only lost out to Marcus by a few percentages, which certainly wouldn't be the case if he was a "non-entity" in real life.

Why cant people get over the fact that Freddie was liked?

Not as much now as at the beginning, following his cocky outbursts, but I doubt only the people on the forum could have made up 46% of the total vote.

If he was hated, then the percentage would have been a LOT higher.

Most Freddie fans have turned their support to Marcus anyway, it does not seem as bad if he is evicted over one of his friends, it would be awful for him to be evicted over the likes of Bea or Lisa(which would never have happened)

Marcus FTW :dance2::dance2::dance2:

Firstly, he didn't survive 7 evictions. Its nothing to be proud of with some of the people up against anyway. I'm not denying he had his fans in the earlier weeks though, but not lately.

The impression I get is that Marcus isn't as liked as people like to think (booing crowds/chants for him out, crap odds until the last week or so, no doubt helped by Freddie's departure as you say) which is possibly why the percentage was quite low.

But Tom you aint proved nothing, especially NOT proved that he got booed, which you keep saying as if someone will just start believing you (maybe around 4-5 FMs) because he didn't in the main - he was received with real warmth from alot of people last night.

Because people generally like Freddie and are endeared by him - you could see it in all the interview shows. He made some big mistakes in the house and eventually they caught up with him. This does not mean he was hated on the outside.

Let's put it this way - from what I can see, he's loving it being out now, enjoyed the reaction he got last night and will sit back with the rest of us and watch the HMs implode and get ravished when they leave (apart from perhaps Vash and Sophie -- Marcus will have his fans too).

Now...disprove that

Well when the doors opened, it was pretty clear he got booed. Then it was cheers. If he was loved so much why wasn't it all cheers?

Because people generally like Freddie and are endeared by him - you could see it in all the interview shows. He made some big mistakes in the house and eventually they caught up with him. This does not mean he was hated on the outside.

They like him that much they voted him out over an outsider

I agree with that, not once have I said he got a bad reaction, but it isn't as good as a lot of people are making out or a lot of people think. And the fans that Marcus has are VERY loyal ...

Tom - they voted him out because he made some fatal mistakes as I have already conceded. Thet DIDN'T vote him out 6 times - explain that!

Doesn't mean to say he was 'hated'. I truly believe that most people do not hate freddie. Some may hate him, some misunderstand him, but most I would say would warm to him generally.

Because I have been to a couple of evictions and another crowd is outside the gates. Its rent a mob and people they kicked out of the audiance for bringing stuff to throw, being drunk etc. In other series we have clearly heard people shouting from outside the compound being audiable to people in the huse garden.

On camera cam you could clearly hear that these boos were coming from behind him. He was a lot closer to the outside fence than the real audiance.

Fred got a good reception from the crowd. Fact.

He was definitely in a good position to win it, I doubt if he would have even if Bea wasn't there. But he must one of the biggest fall from favourite to evictees in BB UK history.

Liked Freddie and he was my fav too, but he played right into Bea's hand's who played him like a well tuned fiddle. Got to give it to her she went in there with a plan, to get rid of the early favourite. She even went a bit method acting on it by playing a hippy chick when she clearly wasn't. Once he got sent packing, she clearly tried to play both sides and soon they caught onto her game and she screwed up.

Poor Freddie went from potential underdog winner into sad pathetic lover up pervert overnight.
