Despite major cutbacks at ITV with a number of popular shows such as Heartbeat, Primeval and The Bill being cut back or even axed completely there is to be no “Xpense” spared with X Factor as the judges prepare to visit some of the most exotic locations ever.

A show source told The Mirror, “Everywhere else in TV there are cutbacks, but The X Factor is going to be bigger and better than before

“ITV want to send out a signal that the show is going to be different this year and also want to treat the singers for all the hard work they are putting in.”

Simon is heading stateside as he takes his acts out to Los Angeles to pick the final 3 which he will take to the live shows in October.

Meanwhile Louis, who traditionally spent this stage of the auditions in Ireland, will head to Tuscany in Italy.

Cheryl Cole will be going to Marrakech while Dannii Minogue will be heading out to Dubai with her 6 finalists

A show source told the newspaper, “They are sending them off to far flung locations that will look great on screen and also probably increase the pressure on the singers.

“They know once they arrive at the locations just what a big deal it is to get this far in the competition.”

Secrets revealed, find out what categories the judges have been given.

X Factor returns 7PM, August 22nd.

Ooo Sounds good. Cant wait till next saturday. This is a random bit of information but apparently the Glasgow auditions had to be re-filmed, becuase they decided to have a live audience at the last minute. lol
Thats rubbish becasue we wont see thier original auditions.

The Ireland joke got a bit old after series 2

They'll never beat when they actually used genuine judges houses and took the 2005 25+'s to Sharons house though

Aw I always liked when they brought them back to Dublin. i suppose they are just cutting ROI out of everything now. No Dublin auditions anymore, no voting from Ireland...
