only bea walking in made him feel like he had to protect her.
It started when bea was having a row with david and she walked out and halfwit walked in and just defended her without even knowing what happened and then lisa started and it exploded.
Then after bea was nominated he defended her in the kitchen calling lisa a game player because she fixed it for bea and marcus to be up.
Both these times made halfwit look really bad.

Marcus may still nominate Bea but she did just about everything she could do to own him last night. If that doesn't work then at least she can say she did give maximum effort and if nothing else it was just something to watch in awe.

Charlie really is a dumbarse and I'm not even sure if her powers work on him anyways. He could just as easily make two stupid nominations off the top of his head no matter what. He doesn't even know why.
