Appearance Money for HMs

On CBB all the HMs get appearance money - how much depends on their "celebrity" status and how good an agent they have!

I assume on ordinary BB this is not the case. But should it be do you think?

If all the HMs got an amount of appearance money conditional upon not walking out, would it make the show better? And, if so, roughly how much do you think it should be?

it depends on what people are willing to pay based on the HM. It also depends on what agent they sign up with. Most end up doing Nightclub PA's....or opening supermarkets. What a career, huh? lol.

They do get expenses .I dont know how much. They will be contracted and paid to appear on BBLB andBBBM.

I can remember being told one celebrity in the last cbb got 300,000 and that they loose there appearance money if they walk out or get kicked out.

It was reported years ago that they get paid whilst they are in the house (approximately £250 per week) - this is apparently so their bills/direct debits etc can still be paid. This money stops if they walk and it stops after they are evicted, but they are still contracted to do BBLB and BBBM.

They get paid for magazine & tabloid deals and probably for any other 'guest' appearances they make elsewhere - NO WAY should they be paid appearance money for being in the house! :nono:

I know that about 6 years ago BBUSA contestants received a 'stipend' of 750 USD a week.
This is 'scale' and what you have to pay anyone on any television program at a minimum. This has all sorts of things to do with Actors Unions, contracts etc.

My understanding (so i was told) is that BBUK people are contracted for the full year. When the previous years HM come on BBLB or BM doing skits etc - that is part of the contract obligations.

Oh well, for Lisa (and maybe quite a few of the others) £250 a week is probably more than they normally get! :laugh:
