Sony have confirmed that the new model will go on sale in the first week of September at the new price of £249.
*£249 price for smaller, lighter model.
*120GB hard drive.

They need to bring out a PS3 that also plays ps1 and ps2 games from Europe, Asia and America.. And a slot to insert ps1 and ps2 mem cards..
Plus 500GB hard drive.

Mine is 40GB, i've had to delete game data, but not saved game data..
Seen some 250GB hard drives on Play.com for £60, worth a shot..
In the long run 40GB is fk all, many games eat up GB before any save data, MGS4 needs 5GB, and a good demo is 1.5GB.

I bought a 320GB hard drive from Play.com £55. It was meant to be ps3 compatible but it wasnt.
Stay away from the WD Scorpio blue hard drive. It dont work.

*Built in Blu-Ray player
*Watch dvd/Blu-Ray movies
*120GB hard drive
*Jump into the PSN
£249 is fantastic price, plus you could wait few months and buy 2nd hand.. :thumbs2:

Yep. The Seagate 250GB works. £49 from Amazon.
I was suprised how easy it was to do. I thought i'd be there hours messing about.

Once again, the UK gets shafted.
The US price for the system will be $300, which is more or less what you would pay for a Wii here in Britain (roughly the equivalent of £180).
